You are basing that purely on size. Wilson hasn’t been good vs the run so how is he considered all purpose?

Because he is an upperclassmen - he better be better against the run than Lightfoot or we are cooked on the edge. We really needed Lowe to develop into a dominant every-down DE. I hope one of the younger, more athletic guys like Scroggins can step up.

Because he was a freshmen. You see he didn’t have those problems once he got that experience. Looking good in practice in one thing but playing a opponent you aren’t familiar with on Saturdays is a different ball game

Im not saying experience don’t help I’m just saying Cantwell was the best ol in the country last year for a reason. His up side is higher than Francis . He will be fine and get way better as the season goes on . Our hardest games are a few games in . They should help the coaches figure things out

Texas tech had the number 1 run defense last year and they had 2 edges that weren’t good vs the run. Bain and Messidor were rare. It’s rare you get a DE let alone 2 that are great vs the run and pass. They aren’t going to be elite edge setters like those guys were last year they just got to be good enough

He might be better long term than francis but the kid is still a freshmen o-linemen. He is going to see stuff he has never seen before and it’s going to take some time but the good thing is he seems like a quick learner

In practice he arguably be facing the best dl in college . < 100 percent in the acc for sure ) I have Motten going first round hopefully Scott comes back he’s a top pick . Wilson , lightfoot and Blount . You’re right though I just never seen a ol with this much upside . From size , strength and athletic ability . My expectation's is to win a championship but if we win acc I’ll be happy too . I want to win the championship don’t get me wrong but we’re long over due to win the acc

I don’t know about ever. He has special strength for his age but athleticism wise he is solid but not elite. They should win the acc baring no key injuries up front

I haven’t heard anything about merriweather I don’t think he is very good.

This line will take a step back this year. Just get ready

Who cares if it takes a step back from last year. At the end of the day, it’s still one of the best units in the entire country. That’s all that matters

Cantwell is Better than Francis as a freshman by a lot .

That has yet to be shown. I'm skeptical because Francis had great coaching at IMG. No doubt Cantrell is a man child, but I'd be surprised if he doesn't have some growing pains as a FR.
