Neither QB from LSU looked good.....but it had to be hard for a freshman QB to call the line protection on passing plays vs Tamu. You have no idea where the blitz was coming from.

• Completed 21-of-36 passes for 239 yards and 3 TDs - all career-highs - in the win ... His 3 TDs and 21 completions were the most of any LSU true freshman in their first career start ... Added 52 rushing yards on 18 attempts.

So when you say "We were all wrong", you're referencing CIS scouts?

Lol never forget, CIS scouts hated Jake Garcia and thought he sucked. He committed to UM and then he got CIS scouts stamp of approval.

My point very bluntly is, CIS scouts are not unbiased. So if Max wasn't considering UM seriously, makes sense why he was predicted to suck.

He was smart enough to see the garbage offense his own uncle was running and had the chutzpah to tell a desperate Mark Richt, "No thanks, see you at the family picnic next summer."

A QB with brains, balls, and a strong work ethic will be well positioned for success.

You didn’t watch the game if you think this kid is good. He threw two long TD’s on broken slants. Miss St DB’s ran into eachother on one and another broken coverage. Box score does not tell the story of the game. That offense is dreadful.

News Flash: Max still sucks ***. Stats w/o context is misleading af. The reason why his #’s look better at this juncture than last yr, is b/c last yr, LSU only played an in conference schedule. His completion % #’s were inflated by playing a FCS & G5 school early into the season. Take away those games, and his completion % is the same as last yr, starting off. They haven’t even hit the meat of their schedule, yet.
