Like anyone on here, money. You take the deal can’t get mad at that.

This can help BB look like a coach again if he lands a lot of these types
Yes and It really sucks that these kids don't really care about winning anymore. It's changed College football forever.

So the current DB room scares the kid away and the big UNC bags allure him to flip.

I'm cool with not pursuing a kid who doesn't want to even try to compete.
What I don't get is a kid this talented is willing to take a big bag so he can spend 3 years sitting in a locker room wondering why he came to a school that has no chance of winning anything. Losing can take a toll on you even if your family is swimming in money back home. 🤷‍♂️

Agreed.

It's potentially sacrificing long-term money for short-term money, similar to what we might end up seeing with a Calvin Russell.

If it's true he's bolting to UNC because the Miami DB room is "stacked", then I don't know how this kid will be able to navigate the NFL with such a weak mindset. If you're good, you'll play regardless of who is already in the room. We just saw that in Week 1 against Notre Dame - Toney came on campus knowing three veteran transfers were deliberately paid and brought in to play meaningful snaps, there were veterans already in the room like Ray Ray (unproven but a vet. none the less). You also have Fitzgerald, who missed Spring practice, but show his ability during the summer to earn a few snaps with many more to be earned as the year progresses.

If the kid lacks the confidence to even attempt to compete, then good riddance. We've seen those local 4 stars with that attitude in this program for 20+ years, and it hasn't yielded much.

they were int he nosebleeds but i dont think it had anything to do with being unkind to the u.

They also were complaining some of them. One i saw because he is the father of a recent former player n he posted it and was cmmplaining. It was sell out probably had more to do with it.
That tweet is lie… no true at all.

I got the same opinion here as with Jason Lopez, if you're scared to come in and compete, GTFO.
Kobe Bryant GIF

It's just recruiting nowadays unfortunately, if the offer is significantly bigger…how is the family supposed to say no? The likely being able to start from day 1 is just gravy, let alone for a proven DB eye like Belichick

Hopefully we can up the offer a little and he's a cane.

Maybe he realizes with the transfer portal he isn't locked in for 3-4 years at UNC so why not take the fattest stacks that are currently available? Don't blame the kid really. Pretty sure 99% of people would leave their preferred job for something comparable(ish) for another 100k or so.

I see why he's considering flipping...Miami has to make this right. They didn't learn from the Mali Toney situation and they have to be smarter than this
