Soooo Sluka may have just played himself.

UNLV up 31-7 in the 4th against Fresno. New QB for UNLV? 12/15 for 167 2TDs 0 ints.
11 rushes for 99 yrds & 1 TD

Now, he may be looked at way differently as a transfer being that the backup has looked better than him.

makes you wonder. The new QB had 7k+ career yards at Campbell so not like he was just a young backup. Sluka looked awful what I saw. Whatever the reason UNLV responded.

Also, the Fresno RB got an unsportsmanlike for spinning the ball. Our fans can quit crying.

I haven't seen if he's responded but I don't think @Rellyrell is against the concept of NIL. I think his objections were that it went live without guardrails or any rubric, and he voiced concerns over what it would quickly turn into.

I'm a no-holds-barred free marketeer, so I like no rules.

My concerns are over the general direction of the sport turning into NFL-level boredom with lower level talent, due to everything being about TV rather than the on-field product.

this ninja @Rellyrell wants Kirby Hocutt to be the deciding factor on the guard rails.......

Thing is my man @Rellyrell IS A SOUTHERN CALIFORNIAN.....He doesn tlive int he south like most of us and didnt get that there was ALWAYS NIL with no guard rails.....just undercover nil with guard rails on specific programs controlled by the same dudes/ in cohoots with the ncaa that he wants to give some sort of power to again.

Im more concerned about the free transfer availability done the NIL situations....you should probably get one free transfer imo and everything else should be a case by case again. But idk f it blow up the whole thing.......

im cool though on having Condoleeza Rice and Kirby Hocutt setting up "guard rails" with their other friends.

That's my thing. Putting in regulations just puts us back to where things were before.

and its obvious as the ppl whow ere so big on the guard rails.....saban and dabo are the guys who benefitted the most on buying players and paying players to STAY for years. lol

1. My entire family lives in SEC territory

2. Two of my cousins played at SEC schools

3. I have a plethora of youngins that’s played at SEC schools.

4. I, too, am more concerned about the portal than NIL. My concern w/ the NIL is more from the adults ******** over kids, making false promises. I’ve said that for a while

The kid is an idiot with an idiot agent. Imagine flying across the country to play for a team for bc an assistant coach promised you $100k and you didn’t even get it in writing. Supposedly the collective was not involved in negotiations and never agreed to pay it. Bad look by both kid and program.
 
Starting to look like they wanted to give the backup some PT too and dude bounced blaming NIL lol. In the end, Vegas won out. I mean the sportsbooks. Everyone bet against UNLV after they found out about Sluka lol

USC is/was Miss state level spending aint nobody out west bidding up prices.

What Reggie Bush got back up rbs get this way homie lol.

Cam Newton out of juco bidding STARTED at 300k+...thats a juco recruit.
 
Dude ain’t worth half that. But if he in fact had an agent, and that agent happens to be a lawyer, then he should have no problem collecting that $100k from a carrier. No chance he gets more than lunch money next year.

Yeah, I don’t think u quite understand what was going on, nor do I expect u, to. My point is, I’ve been around “NIL” a lot more than u could possibly ever fathom.

This makes me think that the NCAA announced to teams that refs would be calling "spinning the ball" a personal foul.

And because of that, I guarantee that Mario and the staff briefed the players on doing that.

And George still does it, which I bet is why Mario was yelling at him.
