Amen! This site was genuinely enjoyable until the 2013 season. From there on it has been unbearable. We used to actually have football discussions on this board; what a novelty!.

This board has been polluted with mopey, single sentence, unintelligible posters. Unfortunately, this is a free board and the mods have lives other than monitoring ****** posters. I would rather pay $5/mo. to detract some of the "insufferables", as I like to refer to them as.
 
Banning "mopes" (or "slurpers" - equal opportunity) is above my pay grade - however, I will start a few football-related discussion threads in hopes of resurrecting at least some of the pride and dignity of this once-great message board...
 
Spoke to what of my friends today and he told me the team will not be wearing the new uniforms, they are just unveiling them to the fans.

#UM #Canes will be videotaped being shown new uniforms for first time tomorrow.

I hope they have some of the guys who aren't playing in the Spring Game like Duke, Yearby, etc out there on Saturday to put on the full uniform. I'd rather see it on a player for the reveal than on some random mannequin.

Kind of ironic that the board was at its best before the split, right before the exodus of all of these posters from the other boards.

We lost some of the best posters when they split the WEZ. Real talk.

I forgot that is when the site split.

I don't understand the divide. This board was meant to be an uncensored board where anything goes, however, there was a crossroads with sticking true to that initial philosophy, and becoming a legitimate insider board for Cane football.

These guys were never going to be allowed access to the football team with the type of stuff that went on here so, naturally, they needed to divide the uncensored board and the legitimate board.

I have a hard time grasping why some posters chose one board over the other, and drew a line in the sand that they won't cross. Some Wezzie's speak of this board with utter disdain, failing to realize it is run by the same people and the fact that there is an overlap of probably 80% in posters.

Just stubborness on their part. There is no reason that you can use this board to talk legitimate football, and use the Wez to go ham and talk shenanigans. I enjoy both personally, but for the reasons stated above, they cannot co-exist under one name/domain.

The WEZ/Lounge is what got everyone on the same page from the jump. If you ask me, that board allowed this board to exist, not the other way around. I dunno, some people would just rather talk football there.

Because people felt slighted. They felt like they were essentially used (I'm not saying I agree with this at all), because their efforts sped up a process that would have taken much longer and then they were suddenly separated from the site, as if they were a disease.

Also, the disdain further comes from the fact that the split has virtually killed any sort of pipeline of new posters to the WEZ. I'm not sure how you can't grasp that some people wouldn't be annoyed at the very least about that, to the point where they feel its better just to post on the WEZ and not support this site. Again, I am not saying I personally agree with that, but to say you can't grasp that is a little extreme.
 
A message board works better when there is less moderation and more users "self-moderating". Unfortunately most of the guys really good at that (or dedicated in their own way) have chosen to stay over there.

How incredible would it be if we literally had all white and just the outline of Miami on the uniform is orange and green and then the U outlined in orange and green on helmet. Filthy!
