Uniform Appreciation

I love the current Uni's as they are, I just also would really like a Green alternate top.

Exactly like how the Jersey's are already, just a Green one to go with it.

yup, jerseys are great now. maybe add a U just below the collar, but otherwise. perfect.

rumor has it that Nike has that patented and thus why no U on the collar.

Where'd that rumor get started? In a mental hospital?

Good one, very creative and original. Seriously good job.

anyways here is an example of what I was saying. Notice the adidas uniform DOES NOT have the schools emblem in the center while NIKE's DOES. Notice how we HAD the "U" front and center with NIKE and no longer do. A patent on the location. View attachment 47041

View attachment 47042. My buddy says this has been in effect for the last few years and adidas and Nike were secretly going through legal battles. Supposedly. I am not for 100% certain because Ima regular guy...but it was a rumor I heard from a friend of mine who works in sports apparel.

Think about it.

You're saying Nike has "patented" placing a logo, fully owned by another party, in a specific location. So in essence, they not only have patented the area right under the neck, but have the legal right tell other parties where that party can place its fully-owned logo.

Think about this hard. Does that even make one bit of sense?

Well, in the posters defense, Michigan Colors are Maize and Blue. True School colors. When Nike endorsed Michigan, they took over the rights of the color Maize. When Adidas began sponsoring Michigan, instead of Maize and Blue they had sunshine yellow and blue. Very close in color, but not quite. So design pattern could very well have been patterned by Nike. It's weird crap that goes in the apparel game. It's like ****ing contest these companies have w one another.

Adidas usually releases these before the season on Twitter. Although that wasn't the case for us I don't think in 2015. But they've done it for other teams months in advance.

Prediction:

Georgia Tech -- Green

Notre Dame -- Black

The article said the black would be for the Thursday night game vs GT

****-nose,

The article speculated as much. Try using your brain and reading the words next time:

A possibility raised by one source: Miami could unveil a black-themed look for its Oct. 12 game against Georgia Tech.

You're pretty sensitive about your hot takes.
But speculation is grounded on the fact that Thursday night games are typical for things like black uni's

Black is not one of the University of Miami's colors. **** is cornball.

They held off on the Uni switch for post GT as they wear green at GT as GT is one of those weird home teams that wear white.
