So it's the offseason, I was bored and was watching all the games from last year on YouTube . The new uniforms may not be Nike but they make us look like a legit college football program again. I know uniforms have nothing to do with play on the field but the positive effects are psychological. I'm sorry but that "smoke" mess and green on green, orange on orange combos and half *** effort Nike uniforms from 2014 under Folden to the press and print youth football like numbers from 2015-16 adidas Miami's identity was a mess. We sucked on the field and didn't even look the part to be taken seriously. The legend of the U uniforms gave us our identity back and the timing was perfect. When the '18 class comes in and the IPF is complete after a 10-2 2017 campaign Miami will return among the elite, and they will do it in our iconic uniforms.

I love when people complain about uniform threads after clicking on the title that clearly says it's a uniform thread.

I have no idea what OP is saying but my wish list for this season includes these combos:

I want to FOREVER distance ourselves from the last Nike photo shoot where the players all acted like they were metrosexuals in love with the universe!

I opened the thread figuring it would be about appreciating in a consistent manner

I was squarely planted in the "I don't care about uniforms" crowd. Mostly because what I think looks good and what most 20 year old kids think looks good are usually totally different. The throwback 80's uniforms are pretty sweet though and I found myself appreciating them more than I any of the previous sets of weird color schemes and stupid graphics. It looks like the players really dig them too so it works for everyone.

Waiting for the green jersey, pants, and cleats to be official announced. Heard about them a while back and even saw the green cleats a while back.

Its as it should be. Keep it neat; keep it simple.

Worry less about threads more about kicking ***.

I'm partial to the mid 90s unis, but thats because I first started watching them in that era.

As long as the players are wearing pants above the knee (gangster look) and black shoes, I am good with rokulika's combinations.

I love the current Uni's as they are, I just also would really like a Green alternate top.

Exactly like how the Jersey's are already, just a Green one to go with it.

Why not 12-0? Who do you have us losing to?

Agree. Feels like Coach Richt is getting away from black cleats and black socks.

Richt mentioned that he was for classic looks, so I don't see much change coming unless adidas sees an opportunity to exploit Cane football (what Nike did as the first college outfitter of a college football team...and Under Armor with Maryland), but I'm for whatever the kids like...and will win in! Even if it's dayglo (hopefully, it won't be dayglo, etc).

I agree with this. I also would not mind an all black uni to where once a year.
