A 5th year senior QB didn't understand a coverage I learned to navigate in MIDDLE SCHOOL. There's no reason to make that throw. NO REASON AT ALL. He did it anyway, because underneath it all, he's a sporadic QB that can't be counted on to consistently make the plays you need to make in order to win. When the chips are down, he wants to be the hero, instead of understanding to trust his eyes and his knowledge. Cam Ward wouldn't have made that throw, Brad Kaaya, for all his flaws wouldn't have tried that throw, especially with that kind of protection.

You don't make that throw. If you do(Usually because you have to put the ball somewhere), you throw it to the pylon because either Marion gets it, or no one does.

I don't think that the defender was beat. I think he knew that he had help deep and did his job and stayed underneath.
Beck should have checked it down; but in this instance should have thrown it to the pylon as has been said tonight ad nauseum. Either Marion catches it, or it is second and ten.

Agreed, Toney came open on an inbreaking route. It was a bad decision by Beck. Once the safety started floating to that side he should've come off that read. Play wasn't there and he forced it unnecessarily.

That play isn't the reason why we lost though. Bauman missing that block on punt team is.

It was a multitude of things. Too many costly penalties. Bad gameplan-play calling in first half. OL got handled in first half too.
Beaumont dropped two balls also.
The WR just weren’t getting open the entire first half.

Chill without Beck we wouldn't be here. We do not give Beck enough credit for this run, he was cool and collected throughout the playoffs. He made countless big plays in the playoffs. If we're being honest he was probably highly concussed on that final drive and seeing stars because he absolutely wacked his head on the ground.

I just didn’t like the decision. The safety was playing over the top. Even if the throw was on target it is unlikely to have been successful.

Naw if Beck throws that to the back corner of the enzone it a good chance that was a touchdown. But I assume he was throwing a back shoulder

Needed to go 10 yards to a dependable middle target there. Get inside the 25 with 40 seconds left and plenty of time.
