So other than Butch, have you guys found our next head coach yet?

So far the resume requirements I've seen are: Not Al Golden and has coached some level of football.
 
If you can't get Butch again. I would go with Brian Jenkins from Bethune Cookman! He wins with no budget, no facilities and he can recruit So. Fla! You can also get him a lot cheaper than some of the guys you named.

That's really all they want. Then they'll draw and quarter the next guy when he isn't a miracle worker either. It's a sport for them.

I don't have time right now, but I will try to break down some an example something like this, but in more detail if possible:

Candidate: Butch Davis
Current Job: ESPN
Reasons Why: Recruiting. HC experience. Miami experience. Available.
Possible Concerns: Relationship w/UM. Game day coaching. Years away. UNC/NCAA issue. Will he still have what made him good in 2000 15 years later.
Chances: Med-High

Candidate: Narduzzi
Current Job: MSU DC
Reasons Why: Top ranked defenses
Possible Concerns: Success has been primarily against Big Ten offenses --- (but an actual breakdown when I have time --- was it Top 10 3 years in a row against complete dog **** Big Ten or OSU, Michigan, Wisky, etc.)

More than one choice/option would be nice. So would message board discussion without ****ing antics in every thread.

Yes. It was entirely necessary since every thread is about not having Golden as our coach and then a list of names with usually very little depth to them and then some attack on Blake James being a ***** and Shalala hating football or making bad hires. So usually we don't need more than one head coach, but since the collective opinion is that the one we have is no longer a good option, I thought we would actually discuss options, the goods and bads, likelihood of them coming here or obstacles to that, bolting to the NFL, are they SEC guys, tied to a school or philosophy we like or don't like, etc.

The U is a pro style team, on both sides of the ball. That is the reason we put more kids in the NFL than any other school. If you want to bring Oregon's offense here we will spread it out, score points, give up as many on Defense and chase away a ton of kids with NFL mindsets.

Other than that.. great idea.

Yeah, because South Florida schools don't run the spread or anything.

So the message board preference is to not breakdown the coaches like I started to to see what may be out there after Golden, but is throwing names out with no substance, attacking the current coaches, and for those who would rather discuss details, ignore every thread?

How many offensive guys we been pumping into the league lately? ****, the NFL doesn't even run "pro style" offenses anymore.


If a kid can play, he can play in any offense.

Our offense is a complete disaster, bring in an organized offense like the one Frost runs at Oregon or Montgomery at Baylor and you'll see how absurd we become on offense.

The spread offense should actually be a requirement for any coach who comes here.

They run a similar offense to what Oregon runs, a spread option attack. It's efficient even with ok talent. Jaelon Strong and DJ Foster really make the Offense click. One thing I do know Kaaya doesn't fit in this type of offense.

Not entirely true. Mike Bercovici, ASU's backup QB, isn't terribly mobile. Neither is their QB commit for 2015, Brady White. Unlike Coley, Norvell has a clear vision for his scheme and can adapt it to maximize the talent at his disposal.
