This is our 3rd time holding a team under 150 yards in 10 games. I can’t find many instances of this happening in CFB. Give Heatherman whatever he wants. This was dominance without 3 of our best players on that side

NC State averaged 430 yards and 32 ppg. we held them to 149 and 7. They didn’t get passed the 50 until late 4th quarter

And those yards and score come with an asterisk 'cos we'd emptied the benches by that point.

Just superior athletes everywhere

Our DL is monsterous. Besides the obvious of Bain and Mesidor, Scott has turned a corner and is disrupting everything.

Scroggins when he was in there was pushing their OL back lol. So much fun to watch
Dominant DL and he was bringing the heat early and often. Clear from the jump he was not going to let Bailey get into rhythm.

Excited to see the numbers when I do the stat roll thread Monday. I’m guessing we’re in the top 5 now in yards per play allowed and scoring defense. Or at least real close.

They can 50 plays for 143 yards. Just a merciless **** kicking by our kids on defense. Jesus.
Their average yards per play was 2.86. It was a blood bath

Unreal

And half their yards were on the final drive of the game against back up back ups

Never thought I’d see us dominate an offense worse than we did Florida but today was actually more impressive

The refs even tried to help them out a lot and they had to fight tooth and nail for a yard or two

Incredible especially this day and age of football

Totally flying under the national radar. What he's done with the defense in one season is pretty amazing.
Also, have to give props to his assistants.
What’s really cool to me is we brought in Scott and Thomas (and while Toure has been up and down we’d be really screwed without him) late in the process after Heatherman was here

Dude clearly knew what he needed. Found it. And those dudes are thriving.

Without three of our best players? The he defense is absolutely elite but don’t lie. Scott was the only one of our “best players” that didn’t play.

Idk why we are gonna split hairs here lol but okay. I’ll downgrade it since we were missing 3 starters but only one was good

And that offense is wayyy better than Florida’s.

Their last 2 games, against teams that were ranked this morning (Pitt and GT), they had a combined 1028 yards of offense.
