Uncomfortable truth

Miami is not that good

The offense continues to disappear for large swathes of the game.

After incompletions and interceptions players shouldn’t be smiling.

QUIT RUNNING IT UPTHE MIDDLE ON 3RD AND 7, 3RD AND SHORT AND 4TH DOWN
EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT WE ARE GONNA DO

Pass defense….doesnt exist

Pass rush….see above

Play calling…whatever

Go ‘Canes…but this was embarrassing

What this told us, there's work to do.

Still, **** that, enjoy the moment. This is the first time we'll be ranked #1 since 2002. Enjoy it, savor it, and always remember one thing about the FSU game, crazy stuff happens.

Rivalry games, particularly THIS specific rivalry, are always weird.

There are no 2001 style teams, or 2004 USC teams, or 2010s Bama teams. Doesnt exist anymore. Get used to being able to lose to anyone at any time.

Everyone in the top ten is meh

Exactly. Imagine watching these games today and saying winning is bad??

1, 2, 5, 6, and 7 all lost.

1 at home as a 17 point favorite.
2 as a 10 point favorite
5 as a home dog
6 as a TD favorite
7 as a 14 point favorite

It’s hard to win every football game. There’s a reason maybe 1 team does it every year.

As Herm Edwards said. You play. To win. The game.

We won. We are #1 in the country. Rest up, and do it again next week.

It’s always a great night to be a Miami Hurricane. But especially when you beat FSU and are #1 in America.

We got outcoached and for the most part outplayed tonight and in years past we lose this game by two score.Tonight we won playing our C game at best in a rivalry game .

This is what good teams do.A bunch of good teams in the last couple weeks haven’t been able to do what this team did tonight.

In this game there’s only W’s and L’s.Its all that matters. After tonight we have 6 W’s and no L’s. I can name a few teams that would take that especially after today.

There’s a difference between being bad, and playing bad. Are we as good as last year? Not even close. But neither is anybody else.

Getting up for big games isn’t an issue. It’s fighting with scrubs that you’re favored to win by 3+ scores.

Just win. Complain about the ****** performance in the game thread and right after, then move on. There’s 5 top 8 teams who would love to be composing about a bad win right now.

op is holding miami to a standard that half the top ten couldn't live up to this week ... like any other tournament, its about playing your best ball at the right time

Mallory looked good.
Lyle started looking like his old self.
Mensah had his worst game but started getting his accuracy back in the second half.
It’s the kind of game the team needed now and not later.
The 86 Celtics lost to the New Jersey Nets in the first game of the year, and they ended up alright.

True but would you have said after SMU last year that we were “as good as last year”? Just win. Teams get better. We lost twice last year by November 1. Nobody would’ve said we were good after the SMU game. Then….we were.

You play to win the game. We played like ****. And we won. That’s actually what good teams do. You know any UGA fans? Go ask them if they’d prefer to win in double OT or what happened to them today.

Watching from the stadium our OL is **** poor, our DBs are not well coached (new coach not doing a good job) and Dawson called a terrible game.

Also Mensah is human after all.

Toney is generational our RBs are very good and the DLelite
