Would be nice if true, but I doubt they have that much influence over kids. Just haven’t seen it, other than when bush took all those Flanagan kids to Michigan, and only his son was highly rated. Most local hs coaches would never turn down a college job by any D1 school if offered.




Remember when we botched Denver Kirkland’s recruitment by pulling his ship when we thought he was bs’ing us?

That signing day, Ice harris said he would never help the university of Miami recruit a kid again. He wasn’t going to negatively recruit against us, but he wouldn’t help us anymore lol. Other local coaches were vocal about us passing on prospects like Darius Tice and Daryl Chestnut for Gus Edwards.

4 months later, D Jax, Bethel, Chad, and Walton committed.

6 months after that, Ice Harris was working on Al Golden’s staff. Remember, he couldn’t get his son to sign with us in that same class.

A year later, with Harris still on staff, we only landed Walton and James King from a team with Calloway, Clarington, and Davis. Walton was committed well before we hired Ice, and now the excuse for the others was that they never played under Ice.



Rumph was another who would go on the radio to be asked what golden could do to recruit more SFL kids after we missed onTmac, Torrance Gibson, Sony, etc... We all know what happened with him and his AHP guys after he was hired.

Yep for some reason when we hire the coach with south florida connections we never get the results other schools get.

Shoot they had to make a rule cause schools would hire a high school coach just to get the five star (and it usually worked). And we hired a coach with multiple five stars at his position group at his former high school and we didn't get any smh.

Just the opposite of self destruction. These universities are making millions on black athletes.

If any of you have a hard time grasping this concept, I suggest you watch the ESPN 150 years of college football documentary. It explains what college football was and how we got to where we are. It also explains the financial aspect.

If we still had segregation, the HBCUs such as Bethune and FAMU would be the premier universities. They would have updated their academic & athletic facilities to be the best of what college football has to offer.

Ironically, the states most notable for segregation and racism are at the top of college football (Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Louisiana). That is self destruction.

It really is unbelievable, after reading these comments, I convinced they would pay “uncle luke” to service them.
it’s pathetic.. Luke Campbell can go and **** himself. I’ll be a much happier kid when that dirt bag is gone and buried. He’s done nothing but disparage and work against this team and University for 30+ years! Guess his “pro agency” is not working out to well( his wife’s mouth must have gotten tired)
