"UM Will Go After an Established Coach"

I'm not sold on cristobal as hcbbut people need to stop with the fiu ****. Nobody wins at fiu and so far he is the best coach in program history.

His biggest mistake was not taking the rutgers job. Fiu isn't a long term job. If you can somehow have a couple winning seasons you get the **** out.

Now if you have 4mil to spend why would you go after schiano and cristobal?

Itu had a list of coaches that schiano would likely bring with him and it wasn't impressive.

If they hire chud or schiano this recruiting class is gone.

Golden won at Temple. No one wins at Temple.

Their current coach disagrees with you.

Do they mean $4M for the whole staff? Smh. I don't have a problem with Schiano, but Cristobal should be punted into Biscayne Bay

It would be just like our Board of Trustees to sit down in the Meeting with Chip Kelly's Agent and say, "We're sorry, we only have four million dollars for your whole staff! We have former President Shalala's retirement contract to consider. Then there's Former Coach Coach Golden's buyout. However, we are willing to offer incentives...."

The University of Miami has begun the process of determining the next head football coach following the dismissal of Al Golden on Sunday.

It has been previously reported that UM is willing to pay an annual salary of $4 million and InsideTheU can confirm this report according to a source. The source continued:

"They are going to go after an established coach. Guys like Justin Fuente and Tom Herman or any of the other coordinators are not even going to be considered. It looks like it's going to be either Greg Schiano or Mario Cristobal. Some guys want Butch Davis, but some people at UM, regardless of how he left, believe he has too much baggage with the NCAA stuff at North Carolina. Even though he was cleared, they're worried he might get busted again."

These stories are all made up anyway but this one is pretty funny.

Fuente 24-20, won 14 in a row- NOT CONSIDERED
Cristobal 27-47, fired at FIU- ONE OF 2 CANDIDATES

It's been established that CRISTOBAL and Schiano suck ****.

So if that's what they're going for, they're barking up the right tree.

Bruh...he was being sarcastic to poo-poo the statement that "no one wins at fiu"

It's Itu they have no sources LOL. Ferman is more reliable than them and that says a lot.

This drool lost any credibility it had real quick. Anyone who even thinks we would pay those name mentioned 4mil is crazy. That would be them and their entire staff wages. In that case torch the program. Yet like Too Short "I ain't trippin" i'm not even letting these drool babies bring me down.

Look at the coaches at 4 mil and up. How many Mario types do you see?

No to Beanerdick Noballs and no to Monkey Boy! Either of these clowns and I am officially DONE with this program and this school. Not happen with this university in the first place, but either of those clowns and I'm DONE with CFB.

My grad school (Maryland) would be the only other program I would support, and they SUCK as EPICALLY as Miami. Will wait for FGCU to get a football program or FAU to get better with time.

Only our f*cktard admin would have Mario and Schiano as candidates. Our program is going down the sh@tter.

Luigi would be lucky to command a 4 year deal worth a TOTAL of $4 mil ANYWHERE.

I know one who has been a college HC twice and NFL coach once, available cheap. Already know way to CG.

So you know he'll take less than the market would pay for his services? Please, do tell how you know this.

This is more internet rumor that is now being passed around as fact because someone started to say it without any basis for it.

Edit: Of course we're likely to go after an established head coach. That's the smart odds even if the person who wrote the article has nothing more to go on than pure speculation.

You guys are overreacting. I take the term "established coach" to mean a prominent power five coach who is in conference where he can't win i.e. Petersen, Holgersen, Stoops, Rodriguez, Dykes, Leach, Kingsbury, Fitzgerald, and B. Jones. After that, I think they have their eyes on Pagano but the Colts will probably luck their way into the playoffs and we need a coach in place before January, so he will probably be out. Then, I think they will look at Herman and Fuente. Reason being, this hire is too crucial to give another "up and comer" a shot at the big time. Our situation is too dire this time. I see Schiano, Davis, and Chud as fall back options. I don't think Cristobal is legitimate (or at least I hope not). Four million per year is big boy money. Looks like the school is finally ready to get serious.

It's hard not to overreact when you read something like "It looks like it's going to be either Greg Schiano or Mario Cristobal."

Just use logic. Four million per year and you are gonna give it to Schiano or Cristobal? You could get either for half of that, especially the Cuban Al Golden. They're aiming high first.

Cristobal needs to go back to the MAC and AAC to re-prove himself before he sniffs another Power-5 job. Same with Shannon.

And if Cristobal kills it in a couple years, we all know what he'll do. He will leave for another school or the NFL. He is loyal to no one.

ITu said Herman was contacted and is first choice
ITu says they'll go as high as 4 mill per
ITu says they want established coach, Herman is out of it.
ITu says it's going to be Schiano or Chud

You guys do see the contradictions and bs?

People actually pay for this . ITu and Cs are straight crooks.
