That was posted on the LA Canes Alumni site just recently with a number of people listed as interested. I'm flying in to SFO and already have a hotel/transportation, so I didn't register for the package they were offering, but that spot is only a few blocks from the stadium, so I plan to swing by there and maybe catch some of the earlier football action. I've heard about an alumni tailgate "behind the rugby field", but I cant find any details on that.Is this still on?

The below is posted on the LA Canes website. I will probably plan on popping in for a bit. That was posted on the LA Canes Alumni site just recently with a number of people listed as interested. Another option would be to do Alcatraz. Or if you want to get freaked out do San Quentin.I'm flying in from NYC (EWR) on Friday for the game. Very excited for the Canes this year. I've never been to Berkeley (or the Bay Area at all) but it's been on my list for a while. Might go explore Napa on Sunday before my evening flight back east.
Thanks for the recs! I'll have all day Saturday and Sunday to explore so I'm definitely going to do some of what you suggested.Another option would be to do Alcatraz. Or if you want to get freaked out do San Quentin.
Both have history.
Napa is cool, pick a Winery thought maybe not one that is crowded with tours..
Or take in the Golden Gate Bridge, eat in cute Saulsalito and then check out Muir woods. This would make for a really great 1/2 to 3/4 day. Could be perfect considering how late we are all going to be getting out from after the game and getting to hotels, and/or adding a nightcap.
Bay area is really a lot to take in. Pretty awesome place, just giving you some ideas given the time you have.

Alcatraz is still interesting. It's about the boat ride, remote prison. Breaking out. That place is freaking bleak. And then there is the new Pen. San Q. Straight up scared stiff ish. I suggested it for those that are murder mystery types. One caveat - you need reservations for Muir Woods - especially on weekends. I do know a back way into the park (perfectly legal) that doesnt require reservations but requires some down and up - let me know if you are interested.
I would skip alcatraz - the boat ride over is pretty cool must people are disappointed
Agree on Golden Gate bridge
You do not have to be a Canes alum to go, it may be tied into the SF group too I don't know. The below is posted on the LA Canes website. I will probably plan on popping in for a bit.
