UM @ USF gametime is noon

I bought a plane ticket to Fort Lauderdale. How far is the stadium from there? I figure it can't be to far since the name of the school is South Florida.

After the UF result, and the way our kids held up in the heat, I'm for playing every game at noon. Just win baby.

Perfect gametime for the players. Kickoff at noon, end the game at 330, get changed after the game, hit the strip clubs on Dale Mabry by 5...I mean Church, go to Church after the game by 5.

****! I thought beating UF meant we had rid ourselves of Shannon's noon kickoff albatross once and for all!

I blame sorry *** USF

The Bucs have a 1:00 pm home game next day that's why it's a noon kickoff.

Ridiculous. No one is going to the **** Bucs game, and we have played night games when the Dolphins were playing at 1:00 the next day.

They are just trying to prevent us from showcasing during a normal game time!

Anyone know if the canes will have a tailgate tent like the miller area at sunlife. Going up for game and don't want to take all the tailgate stuff. Looking for like a pay and food and drink provided

Actually the opposite. They are putting us here to get us the best TV broadcast possible. 12pm IS a normal game time in college football. Against UF we were at 12, with the whole country watching us beat UF. Would you have rather been up against the GOTW Alabama/A&M when we'd be beyond an afterthought?

Since South Florida is absolutely terrible, does anyone think I would be able to buy tickets at the stadium on game day? Any chance at all? I'm going to be in Florida next week (Miami specifically) and I really want to go to this game since my only other opportunity to see the Canes play in person will be @ Pitt.

Yes. According to the USF boards, (when they are not blaming their season on us, and not calling us uneducated bandwagon fans) they are figuring on maybe 20,000 USF fans at most, and 30,000 U fans, and plenty of empty seats.

ESPN has a contract with the SEC that stipulates that a majority of SEC games will be televised in prime time. For example, ESPNU pretty much has to carry an SEC game in prime time, even if it's LSUvs an FCS team.

Because of this, the ACC games are served up as an appetizer to the SEC games, hence the large majority of ACC start times being at noon or 3:30.... That's why there's a lot of noon starts.

In fact, going by the current structure of the TV contracts, we're looking at 12+ more years of this.
