Hopefully, everyone can just settle down and settle in on this issue.
The original poster did not say the Ticket Office was pure concentrated evil, just that they were stupid.
And, sure, his friend could have taken action sooner to preserve his seats.
To me, the issue is simple. WHICH is the easier fix? If there are EIGHT home games, and the tickets are available for SEVEN, simply reach out to the party that purchased the tix for the USF game and tell them a mistake was made, and offer them new seats. Or even upgraded seats.
It's simple customer service. Make more people happy. Might you sacrifice $100 worth of revenue for 2 upgraded single-game tix? Sure. But you satisfy Season Ticket Holder #1, Season Ticket Holder #2, and Single Game Purchaser #1.
Everybody's happy.
Instead, our Ticket Office is doing what it usually does. Standing on ceremony and telling people that they can't do anything.
Happens every year. Sad.
