UM predicted to finish 6th in the ACC

Also remember they are predicting based on talent. Alot of these people don't view our players like the fans do. They follow all teams recruiting and they don't believe we are stacked with first rounders. They look at our talent and think to themselves can UNC or VT hang with this type of talent and their answers are yes.
That's what goes through their minds and u can't blame them.

The so called experts are predicting losses to Louisville and V. Tech as they are away games, then add losses to an overhyped North
Carolina and the probable loss to Clemson, resulting in a sixth place finish. Louisville is getting the nod because of their offense, but their
defense is suspect, and just the opposite is true with V. Tech, good defense, so so offense. If these were not away games the ranking might be
different. Even so,I think we can win both these games, we have players on both sides of the ball. North Carolina at home gives us another
possible victory. I think winning two out of the three is realistic, just hoping that Manny makes it possible, for me he is still a question mark.
Cardinals defense

While Louisville's offense should be among the best in the ACC, their defense has a ton of questions to address. In 2019, the Cardinals' defense struggled with the speed and size of teams such as Clemson, Miami, and Notre Dame. With several new players entering the program, improving the defense is a priority. So expect competition at many vital spots this spring.

3. Offensive line

Mekhi Becton and Tyler Haycraft were leaders on along the offensive line for many years. However, both Becton and Haycraft are no longer on campus, so Louisville will need to find critical starters up front.

These things stopped rustling me years ago (and especially following ****show seasons) but it is comical that anyone thinks highly of Lou-vul or Vag Tech. One could almost* understand falling for the UNC hype or being intellectually lazy about Notre Dame but Vag Tech and Lou-vul are mediocre and certainly with a smaller potential upside than us.

Yep.
“They are a program that underachieves,” he said. “They lost to Florida International during the regular season. They got shut out by Louisiana Tech. They seem to be a program heading in the wrong direction. Unlike Florida State, who the Hurricanes detest and who is going in the right direction, I don’t see a lot of improvement coming from the Hurricanes this year.”

Tony Pauline clearly has his finger on the pulse of Florida college football. Our biggest mopes wouldn't say something this easily disproven.

Having a sizable group of players threaten to boycott twice doesn’t inspire confidence?

Lashlee and King, paired with a stout D, that's

This is a perfect example (not you directly) as to why we have stupid fans. We just came off a 7-6 season, and fans are mad we aren’t perceived in a better light. You need to win or be successful first in order to receive love or respect from the rest of the nation. Lashlee and King haven’t done ****, yet.

Completely disagree. Getting with the times was needed, and everyone knew it. Does OU still run the wishbone? Does Nebraska still run the option? You run what works currently, not what worked 30 years ago. The fans don't want more pro style. By the way, do the pros even run "pro style" anymore? We were decades behind, running garbage that didn't optimize the talent in South Florida.

So yeah, it was about **** time we changed and caught up to modern day football. This isn't 1983, where "pro" systems in college are new and innovative. This is 2020 where even pro teams don't run the pro style mess we have saddled ourselves with for 40 years.

Sometimes old habits are hard to break. Sometimes it's pretty easy to open the window and get some fresh air in.

The easy road for a new HC that flopped his 1st season would be to blame execution and double down on his chosen strategy. A lot of coaches would feel that throwing out a system after just one year would be a clear admission that they made terrible strategic blunders.

What you are talking about is a separate issue. And no, it's wasn't obvious to everyone that Miami should move to the spread. Miami thought its Pro-style system was a recruiting advantage since NFL teams knew Miami players were NFL ready (contrast this with the nearly 50% bust rate of UF players in the NFL). Just two years ago, the Eagles won the Super Bowl running a pro style offense. Miami fans were calling for a college offense for years and we were told we didn't know what we were talking about.

I get why people want to deny giving any credit to Diaz as a coach, but choosing Lashlee and the spread offense was a massive shift in philosophy and a ballsy call, especially given his coaching dream was dangling by a thread.

6-7 season. King is considered one of the top 3 dual threat QBs in the country and Lashlee one of the best OCs. Both of them have "done sh*t" and have a proven track record. If you mean they haven't done sh*t at Miami, sure. But based on previous performance, there is every reason to believe they will be successful. To put this in perspective - some fans are lukewarm about King because his 2019 performance was so much worse than his 2018 season. But if you actually project out his "poor" 2019 numbers to a full season, his projected stats would still crush Miami's record for total TDs and QB rushing yards. And that is a bad season for him.

I actually think it’s fair given how we finished last year. The vast majority of people don’t follow the program like we do so it’s not shocking that we’re 6th. I think putting UL and VT above us is highly questionable, but I understand why.
Virginia Tech is questionable Louisville is not they are better program than us right now.

Someone explain to me how the ***C is Louisville getting all this love. VT lost a **** ton of people too, man who the ***C are these voters they should have to reveal themselves. Post this **** all over the locker room, toilet, weight room, nutrition center, inside your online textbook.

Coaching. UL won 2 games in 2018. A new staff won 8 games in 2019. They had the 2nd highest scoring offense in the ACC behind Clemson. They’re probably going to score on a lot of folks this year too. They’re pretty fast on offense.
