UM overreaction

Hilarious how things still constantly being deemed "never acceptable" have become oh so acceptable for a freakin' while now too. These clowns need to start speaking another language because English ain't working for them.

The incompetent who wrote that failed to mention that the "cloud" over Miami was a lot like the one over Ohio State. Pay ESPN no mind, they have an agenda.
 
golden deserves the heat, if the people in charge thinks hes our guy, then they think he can win under this pressure, so pile it on to show the admin how right they were when they kept him.
 
Adelson using the classic "cloud" defense as the ONLY reason Golden "deserves" another try.

Even though the "cloud" only affected recruiting, not the play on the field or the coaching. Funny how we are doing worse in recruiting than we were under the "cloud". The "cloud" doesn't design schemes and lose games.

Lane Kiffin went 28-15 in his 3 and half years at USC, despite having to play the last 18 games with about 55 scholarship players. I don't recall anyone in the media being livid over him being fired. Because it was obvious he wasn't a good coach, sanctions or not. Al Golden is 28-22 in 4 years, this past season the only one with any actual sanctions, a whopping 3 lost scholarships. But Golden has played the victim role up, and has created a perception that is far from reality. Because of that, the media feels bad for him and excuses his terrible coaching on some made up circumstances. Kiffin is a pompous ***, so he didn't get the benefit of the doubt.

The only thing that matters, and the very thing that is constantly overlooked, is can the guy coach. When you take all the other bull**** out of the equation, its obvious that he isn't a good coach. USC's AD removed everything else from the equation and asked himself: is the team getting better, are players getting better, is this the right system? He realized he had a potato for a coach and instead of making excuses for him(which would have been justifiable as they were under HEAVY sanctions), he did the only thing he could to fix the problem. He fired Kiffin.

Golden isn't getting the most out of his team, isn't putting his players in the best situations to succeed and players aren't getting better, some are actually getting worse. I don't care that you've had a hard time getting this recruit or that recruit. It's about what you are getting out of what you have. Expectations are relative to your situation. Are you reaching, exceeding or falling short of that potential? Given what Golden has at his disposal, he has consistently underachieved in record, unit production and player development. Time to call a potato a potato.
 
Yes, let's keep Al Golden, because the "cloud" over the program at Columbus held Urban Meyer back from winning a championship.

Why: The frustration among the Miami fan base is completely understandable. Going 6-7 at Miami is never acceptable, especially given the talent on the 2014 roster. Golden must now get his players to give that type of effort every weekend. Because the talent is there -- talent Golden brought into Miami when there were serious doubts about the program’s future.

ESPN posted this article, I swear someone is paying the media to say things like this. Is it me or am I the only one at the point of just pulling my hair and just beg for them to fire this UM coach (don't want to say his name)? I want to throw up so bad after reading this garbage.

Should have stopped there, instead of a whole paragraph as to why in this case it is acceptable.

I thought it was quite telling that there were roughly 42 replies to a Herald article yesterday with Blake James attempting to offer excuses and reasons to not continue going after Golden, and approximately 40 of them were asking for either him, Golden, or both, to be fired. There was a single reply saying half-heartedly that AG deserved 1 more year.


It's pretty far from "just a few hundred malcontents" that want these guys outta here. When random Canes fans show up on the set of the National Championship show in New Orleans with "FIRE AL GOLDEN" signs, unprompted by anyone on the internet or any message board, it's blatantly obvious that there's a large groundswell of fans who want him out, and it is more than just a loud online rabble. And when your AD has to step into the firing line in the local newspaper instead of sending the man himself to face the public, it's just absurd at this point.

So I guess NC state, Boston college, Florida, and Louisville are also all talented teams cause they all played FSU tough in till the 4th

Wouldn't mind seeing Golden leave, but totally agree about how laughable the nutty conspiracy theories are about UM paying the media.

I certainly don't think that conspiracy is true when involving ESPN, but let's also consider the source (i.e. writers). Being 'correct' is not synonymous with Adelson/Dinich.
