UM opens +3.5 vs Clemson

Someone talk me out of going all in on the Under at 49.5. How does this game reach 50 points? Clemson beat an awful Wake team 17-12 in their last game.

Our defense has looked good to me. Clearly missing a top end corner, we had no one to match up with tez and drake maye. Clemson doesn't have anyone like that on offense.

Clemson might beat us 13-3.

They have no over the top threat. Not a single guy that will challenge our safeties and bait them into mistakes.

As a result, run fits will be better and they’ll look like all Americans back there.

On offense we’ll do just enough. I say something like 28-14 or 31-21.

We matchup with them much better than UNC. We actually held UNC in check before the third quarter when they went tempo. We also had injuries and then got exhausted when things started going bad. Unc is in another stratosphere offensively but Clemson is much better defensively. They’re the best D we’ll face.

If I bet still I’d fake under. I see this 24-17 / 27-20
 
It's cliche but it boils down to two margins: win the turnover battle (for the first time in ACC play) and maintain redzone success.

Turnovers is DUH City. Eight in our last eight quarters of play.

Redzone stats surprised me when I peeked at them.

We are scoring 87% of time when making trips to the redzone. Clemson is scoring at a clip of 64%. Now they have games against Duke and FSU that make that number sensical, but we could have an advantage here. We aren't he best at defending the red zone, but it's positive to know that we're not going against a time that scores at will down there.

Lastly, while the late, great Al Blades told us it comes down to three mother-buttering thangs....our success will largely hinges on three mother-buttering letters--TVD.

Can he be the gunslinger that locks up the game for us by hitting bombs down field (TAMU) or the predictable, easy to rattle guy that gets us locked out of games?

I know one thing for certain. I'll tune in, cheer like Hades, and party my butt off if we pull off the win.
 
I’m begging Mario and Dawson to abandon the run game and the double tight sets until further notice. Go 4 wide and make Clemson cover the entire field. When you start getting a 5 man box, then you can run. But please don’t continuously run inside zone out of the double tights.

We really gotta get a lead and make them play form behind. We need to be Carolina in the second half last weekend. It’s gonna get ugly in another second half, if they’re able to control the tempo of the game and run it 45 times. Our defense will wilt away for the 3rd straight game.

Under definitely the play regardless of who the winner is

Our defense played great against GT. GT would have ended the game with under 200 yards total offense if we had kneed.

We can easily beat this version of Clemson. If we get blown out, then it means we were paper champs beating two G5, one FCS, and an A&M team that looks every bit of the definition mediocre.

I had us losing to Clemson pre-season, but this Clemson team is vulnerable af. It’s at home, & we should have a massive chip on our shoulder.

Clemson coming off their bye week and have everyone back healthy except the two guys out for the season.

It really sucks that we get them after UNC...
