$40 million to lose to Georgia Tech, Syracuse, and Iowa State.

$40 million to hope to win the ACC.

The House settlement will allow every P4 team to spend $15M a year of athletic department money.

Even if we stacked the $15M +/- we spent this year via NIL that's only $30M and the NIL deals will be scrutinized so unlikely they amount to even $15M.

Zero chance rosters reach $40M next year.

Curt is full of ****.

So we are bigger spenders than any SEC school outside of Texas? Doubt that, but it’s nice to have money.

Another coach that should never speak with a microphone in front of him. Curt is a good coach who knows what he's doing, but his mouth is his downfall. Actually, this isn't bad for him, but just like Fran making up $2 million, Curt made this up.

I'm embarrassed by this fact, but I dont have a $40m net worth. It's sad, and I'm not proud of it, but I have to be honest about my poverty. The board deserves transparency.

This guy is racing to the front of the pack in terms of biggest cry babies. Looking forward to him getting smacked around this year with a tougher schedule.

$40 million seems like a lot if we're to believe the tight budget narrative that always gets brought up for why we can't go after more high profile Portal players.

$40mill sounds like what Oregon, Texas. OH ST & UGA spends.

If Miami is spending $40mill on this roster, somebody needs to take a finances class.
Id be very doubtful it is even close to $40M.

$30M is likely the peak I’d even bet on right now id think. Do we think the highest paid QB is making $4M AND only receiving 10% of the teams NIL funds? That’s what a $40M Nil investment would be. Doubt it.

Money in college sports isn’t great, but head coaches leaving to coach another school and bringing 13 players from his old school with him is worse
Yea, he would jump ship to OSU, Oregon in a second if given the chance....

F off with some of these woe is me takes.

It sounds high, but 85 roster players at $500k apiece is $42 million.

I'm going to say there are lower ranked scholarship guys on the roster not making 100K.

How much you think
Judd
Markeith
Day
Mack
Nino
Newton
Wilkerson
Campbell
Minaya
Plazz
Carver
Russell

are making? 12 of 85 probably not even totaling 1 million. A better estimate is 200K over 60 players puts you around 12 million. Then you got around 2.8 for Beck, 2-3 million for big 3 OL, 1 for RB trio, 4-6 million tied up in the DL heavy hitters like Bain, Lightfoot, Scott, Moten, Blount, Blay, Lowe.

24 million sounds reasonable for this years roster.

I am going to say Oregon, Michigan, Texas, Texas A&M, Ohio State, UGA, Alabama, Notre Dame will have 24 million and higher rosters. Ole Miss, Penn State, South Carolina, Florida, LSU, and Clemson will fund have high revenue rosters too.
