Not shocked. Tons of alumni and a statewide fanbase. Massive stadiums for gate revenue and their revenue generating teams are usually competitive. Their football team doesn’t even have to be good and they’ll get 95k at Neyland. No pro teams in the state until late 90s so most families grew up with the Vols as their only team.
