UGAy fans LFAO at us for extending CMR

Agreed.

It's ok in private, but CMR tweeting for UGA last year was some little **** ****.

I don't see Saban tweeting good luck to Michigan State or Urban Meyer saying good luck to Utah/UFag.

They're focused on championships. CMR is focused on that, but also using his bandwidth on this pointless moral crusade that does not translate into Ws sometimes.

It does if it translates into some Georgia recruits.

Quite the opposite.

I guess you don’t ever expect to be a big time anything. Especially if it involves PR or dealing with the public.

In public, you are the “better man”

Which is wishing good luck to the team that humiliated you publicly.

In private, you hope they lose.

Although I’m sure he wishes his ex players well.

Next time, think things through a little better. It helps if you stop for a second to think, instead of leading with your chin.

I like CMR. Clearly better than Goldy and Radio. UGAy friends keep busting me that we're falling into the same trap they did for almost two decades.

A Hurricane does not concern himself with the options of the GAYtor living a a swamp. It just farts in their face as he trucks over them.

Excuse me, how many coaches with a career 740 win percentage (playing in the SEC) were available after years of average hires at Miami?

UGA is giddy about team that showed after the lead they had, aren't as close to getting over the hump (with lots of guys Richt signed) - but did get to know the "Hump" well. Same old, same old for them, why?

Because they happened to play in the SEC - where the "Hump"goes by the name of Alabama. The Hump has had one of the most dominate runs in the modern NCAA era. The biggest Hump, Nick Saban has an 864 win percentage in 14 years and his teams have spent most of the time since 2008 as the nation's #1 ranked team while earning five National titles.

Some of these cats are quick to say Miami isn't a bag school, but Bama **** sure is, yet they don't apply that to Richt having to deal with that from Bama and Auburn, most of his career at Georgia.

South Carolina upsets Georgia early this year, you heard it here first.

I don’t know.

Did you forget about that onsides kick to start the 2nd half of the GT game?

I was ready to run down on the field and read him the riot act when he tried that.

It was a bad call, imo.

It let GT back in the game, I think we cruise comfortably if he doesn’t call that.

I haven’t forgotten about it. I spent most of the second half bltching about it.

I actually think it was a good call, GT was not ready for it (Richt said he saw some tendency on film and he was right, there was a huge empty area where the ball was kicked), the problem was extremely poor coaching. Players just stood around staring at the ball instead of covering it and just taking the penalty. I think we would have been in good shape even if GT had it at the 50.

Bad call with poor execution. The momentum was on our side opening the second half and not only did it stop that but we gifted them 7 points. But you call it whatever you want. I still put it on the coach.

LOL - stop the moral crusade right there smartypants. Trump is the president of the USA and I see him positioning himself as the "better man" rarely. In fact he's often crass and outspoken. Saban & Meyer are complete ********, morales all thrown out the door.

Here's a myth that's been busted, but very few people want to admit - morality often has nothing to do with winning! And I have no problem with CMR framing himself on some higher calling, but don't sit here and talk down to me for being critical when that strategy did nothing for CMR him at UGA in terms of winning championships.

I'll revise my statement. It was an understandable call, but not one that I would have made in that situation. The time I would try it is if up 10 points (or more) in the 3rd, because if you succeed it's a gut punch, you break their spirits and cruise to victory in the fourth. If you fail (as long as it doesn't turn disastrous like it did when we tried it), oh well the the team still has to drive 50 yards for a TD and if you hold to a FG it's still a demoralizer.

The one time I can say that without a doubt Richt did not coach like a guy who has what it takes to win a championship is the Pitt game. It's not actually for anything he did in the game itself (although I will assert he should have sat Rosier much earlier to light a fire and just gone Wildcat with Dallas since Sheriff looked like a newborn baby giraffe). It was for the Thanksgiving feast and grabass the team engaged in the night before the game. Say what you will about Pitt's talent but they are a physical hard hitting team.

When I read the article on Friday morning saying Richt had 50 lbs of turkey and stuffing brought to the hotel and the players sang kumbaya and talked about how much they love each other, I knew we were screwed (I said as much at the time if you think I'm Monday morning qbing). Perfect season on the line against a hungry Pitt team at home (this was their bowl game) was not the time to have a family friendly, loving moment and get stuffed with pecan pie. The kids came out loose and unfocused, feeling themselves since they were ranked #2 , and it was a disaster exactly as I expected (they are teenagers - it wasn't hard to predict). Have the Thanksgiving feast AFTER THE GAME. It was a good natured, moral man move but a terrible and soft coaching move- that is not going to win you any championships.

Morality is highly overrated and something we were brainwashed in school/church from a bunch of losers who don't know what it takes to be successful. Not saying go out and lie/steal/cheat/kill & murder, but in this world you're going to step on some toes if you want to get to the top.

This is just so stupid on so many levels it defies logic.

You are somehow confusing the natural inclination of most civilized people to hide their worst inclinations and present their best self, as some kind of weakness.

You are also confusing that with somehow not having the will to win.

And then to top it off you throw in our current President and politics. Something that has nothing to do with anything. May as well have brought up Andrew Jackson. He was crude and vulgar too. And also killed a man in a duel. Ulysses S. Grant was a blind drunk most of his time in office. Is that relevant?

Bottom line: Richt taking ten seconds to wish somebody luck has no impact on anybody but superficial fools like you that read too much into it.

My prediction on what will happen over the next 5 years:
(Straight from the Illuminati handbook)
1. bama will win 2 ships to establish a 'his-story' making fake dynasty.
2. Miami will lose a title game to bama or ga in that time span.
3. Miami will also win a 6th Natty during this period, but to a non-sec opponent
Revisit in 2023.

They may have to wait another 17 years for another “over the hump” experience. Let’s see how Kurby performs these next few years with his recruits.
I don't understand this argument. Kirby has recruited better than Richt has. He got the #3 class with Richt's help then the #1 class without it. Plus they are actually recruiting linemen now which Richt didn't do while at UGA. Either way this is a lot of thought for a team we won't play.

what the ****?

did they really sing kumbaya?

see stuff like this is why I have my questions about richt's decision making. This is just, bizarre...

This says everything about you.

Ahh yes. The good old 80s. When people where raised so well the USA had more than double the murders then they do now. Check the crime rates dimwit. Violent crime, Murder, muggings, etc. are all MUCH lower than it was in the 80s.
Really then tell me why the prisons are so overcrowded today that they are letting out non violent offenders released before their time is up.and I'm a dimwit

**** Georgia. I want Miami to play them so we can kick their ***. They think they are greatest thing since sliced bread. We see how they do with Smarts recruiting class.

Last year is way different than this year. And Jarren is way more advanced than Nkosi was last year and unfortunately this year as well. Malik was the only option we had cause Nokia didn’t know anything about being a Qb or how to read the defense, just terrible. But Jarren Williams even when he makes the wrong read he delivers the ball with pin point accuracy which Malik will never possess no matter how long he works on it.:hammering-head:
Even so, accuracy is just one part of a collection of skills that make one a successful QB. And you can't be serious when you say that accuracy can't be improved upon. John Richt gets paid a lot of money to fix these things. Doesn't mean he can turn Malik into a super accurate QB but he can make him better than what we saw last year.

I assume that if Jarren is the best QB come the end of fall, he'll be starting for LSU. But my best guess is that he'll be behind NKosi when the season starts.

We haven't even had a good look at Cade yet this year.

What exactly did #12 accomplish last season, a coastal title. Do they hand out a trophy for winning half a conf? He is a deadbeat qb that wouldn't even be in the discussion at another P5 school. The sacrifice is starting him and impeding the progress of this team now and in the future. A qb that was already limited and did nothing but regress as the season went gives us the best chance to win is crazy. CMR may choose #12 as the starter but that doesn't mean it was the right decision. Playing it safe doesn't win ships. CMR clearly is more concerned about knowledge of the playbook than actual execution of the play. Anyone but #12, he can transfer if he wants, see ya.
You presume CMR was playing it safe because you think you know better than him and John. They see the QB's every day. They would have started NKosi if he gave us a better chance to win. He didn't last year and probably won't this year. We all want to win, but CMR has to run a program that lasts longer than one season. You go around disregarding one kids future for another kids potential and kids won't play for you. You always try and play the best kid or you run the risk of developing a bad reputation of showing favoritism. In todays social media climate that could be suicide.

Just let the competition play out.

BTW Malik had us as high as #2 last year. Should he come back improved with an improved team around him who knows what can happen if he gets us back into the discussion late in the season.

We should only be concerned about how we feel CMR is performing to meet our needs. Who really cares how the UGA fans feel?

CMR has us steadily progressing our goal of winning an NC. The proof of his actual effectiveness will come in the next two years as the groups he has recruited come to the forefront. Unlike Smart, CMR was not blessed with a team loaded and already fully developed. its not a given fact that CMR could not have achieved with his team what Smart did.

Losing in the NC game is not something anyone really boasts about. So i'm finding any putdowns by UGA fans difficult to swallow

Our situation was entirely different and infinitely more difficult. Lets see where these teams end up over the next few years, then let's compare who's done more.
