UGAy fans LFAO at us for extending CMR

I watched Zonk sulk around outside the old Biscane college practice facility rather than go inside to face Shula. I watched JJ take Jerome Brown, rip, to the ground at Greentree, straddle him, and poking his grill screaming about him taking a play off at practice. Mark is a fantastic man and good coach. He needs to instill more a$$ pucker in players, coaches, and refs and less hugs and kisses. As he is, he is a 10 win coach. That is nice but not title worthy.

You really think that will fly forty years later? Coach wouldn’t have a job the next play.

Kid's and young people don't respond to that these days.

This is our guy no matter what. Great, suck, or in between. He isn’t going anywhere for a VERY VERY VERY long time. So any hater may as well embrace him.

You’re an idiot that’s stuck in the slave master mentality of 50 years ago. I seriously doubt you saw JJ do that. Even if you did, no coach could do that today. They might actually get killed. Or sued into Bolivia.

Motherfūcker, you’re stuck in the fifties.

It’s 2018, bltch.

You are seriously out of your fūcking mind.

Don’t ever post bullshīt like that again you fūcking lunatic.

You want coaches knocking players down to the ground and straddling them, standing over them, in their face, while they’re prone on the ground and screaming at them? What else? Power bang their throats while they’re down there? You’re crazy.

Why are you guys worried about cmr winning a championship.if cmr can win 10 games with our current qb and oline .think what he can do when he gets the personnel he wants.by the way original that was in the eighties not the fifties time where kids went to school to learn not shoot other kids.maybe kids today might need that kind of attitude adjustment and quit blaming others for their own faults and or mistakes.

Ahh yes. The good old 80s. When people where raised so well the USA had more than double the murders then they do now. Check the crime rates dimwit. Violent crime, Murder, muggings, etc. are all MUCH lower than it was in the 80s.

Richt is getting paid a sh*t ton of money- even more now after the contract extension. Every Cane fan who watched last season knows that Rosier isn't winning a national championship next year. He simply doesn't have the ceiling. As I said in another thread, it took two miracle catches to avoid 8-5, and Rosier admitted to checking out at the end of the season with a perfect record on the line- and this is our best chance to win? Come on, man. Williams might suck, but he also might be a phenom who carries the team to an ACC Championship. Rosier is just too inconsistent to play championship level football- we all know it, but apparently Richt doesn't or thinks he knows better. Maybe he is right, and worth all that money. If he's wrong (and I personally think he will be proven wrong if Rosier and Williams are close and he gives the tie to Rosier because of "experience"), then all the criticism of him is warranted.

Not sure why this is thread-worthy. I hope you came back to your UGA friends with a big ‘ole “ROLL TIDE”!!!
Extending Richt’s contract was given for what he’s done with our program and what the future holds. Not sure what the trap would be...
that General Ackkbar is an ugly dude. Born that way of in a fire or something?

I'm not in the sacrifice the year to give a young qb experience camp. Best qb(experienced factored in), should play. People wanted to sacrifice Malik last year to develop Nkosi, now this year sacrifice Malik and NKosi for Jarren. If we get MJJ it'll be time to send Jarren packing to develop MJJ. Its just not the way to foster healthy competition.

Kid who give us the best chance to win should start. Period. And the fans should support that guy. Period.

Typical UGA fans. I'm surround by them here in Atlanta. Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary they truly believe that they are a perennial NC caliber team.

Stopped reading after line one. Richt is the 21st highest paid coach and his team finished 13th.

lets see how good kirby smart is without the brinks truck pulling up to every recruits house

What trap? The one where he took a perennial 6 win team and made them one of the winningest programs in college football? I understand some of the shine had come off the Richt/ UGA relationship but let's not make it seem like Georgia was some kind of powerhouse before he got there. Outside of their 1980 (lol) championship, What had UGA football actually accomplished before Mark Richt took the job?

UGA fans can lulz all they want, but right now Richt at UGA year 2 = Kirby at UGA year 2. I think Kirby is a good coach but I think he'll basically end up with a similar track record at UGA as Richt - 10-win seasons, win the terrible East a few times, maybe win another SEC title, no national championship, and several seasons ranked preseason top-5 only to finish somewhere in the teens or worse. That's less an indictment of Richt and more an indication of where and what UGA is as a program, IMO. In 10 years when Kirby hasn't won a Natty at UGA, it'll be interesting to see if they dump him like they did Richt.

Smart had the deepest, most experienced UGA team they've had in God knows how long and somehow managed to barely squeak by a Notre Dame team we dominated, get blown out by a Auburn, then choke away the National Championship game to a true freshman.

UGA fans should be more worried about the 7 for $50 mil Kirby just did to them and stop thinking about what Richt supposedly did to them 10 years ago.

Like I said before, the harsh reality is we got the best bang for a buck with Richt. If we ever decide to pony up more $ for a coach then we can have these types of discussions. But if it weren't for Richt, we'd be back with a ****** Schiano type coach.

I'm all in on Richt and hope he can get us over the hurdle... at least were relevant again and will be a more attractive coaching destination in the future.

Some fans haven't learned from recent history. If we want to make high demands for our coach, the fan base needs to financially support said demands. We are still waiting on the IPF funding from our fanbase. Richt leaving the program sends us back to the same talent pool that gave us the Golden, Edsall, Trestman options. OR at best, the Schiano, Butch, Mullen options.
