UGAy fans LFAO at us for extending CMR

I like CMR. Clearly better than Goldy and Radio. UGAy friends keep busting me that we're falling into the same trap they did for almost two decades.

Like I said before, the harsh reality is we got the best bang for a buck with Richt. If we ever decide to pony up more $ for a coach then we can have these types of discussions. But if it weren't for Richt, we'd be back with a ****** Schiano type coach.

I'm all in on Richt and hope he can get us over the hurdle... at least were relevant again and will be a more attractive coaching destination in the future.
 
Not sure why this is thread-worthy. I hope you came back to your UGA friends with a big ‘ole “ROLL TIDE”!!!
Extending Richt’s contract was given for what he’s done with our program and what the future holds. Not sure what the trap would be...

Mark was my second choice to Butch. Mark will make us better and winning NC at Miami is more likely than at UGA but he does need that fire in his gut he has never shown. If not, the next coach will start with a better hand and deliver number six.

Did you see him bump that ref after all those ****** calls and nearly get ejected? Do not want to see anymore fire than he exhibited that day.

That which is needed to kick the right rears at the right time and stop worrying about the perfect way to eat a sanwhich. When did a “nice” guy ever win a NCs? Howard was a gentleman but nasty when needed. Mark needs that nasty.
 
I’ve cheered each time. Now, he needs it on the practice field too. Players need a little fear of him to go with the respect. I expect him to get nastier. He needs that NC more than we need another. I’m betting the Cane in him comes out before long. We will know when the media starts hating him.

Uhhhh, if he’s almost punching Gus Felder on the sideline, I wouldn’t be worrying about the practice field.

He’s got the fire. If you haven’t seen it, you haven’t been paying attention.

Let me know when the refs are afraid to go 8 plays without calling holding instead of 8 games. Then we are talking about enough. Plus, when the players look like they would rather go to the other sideline after a bad play than face him will be a milestone. The great coaches were feared.

So you think refs are actually scared of any coach? Jimmy Johnson yelled didn’t stop them from costing us a National championship.

I don’t know what games you watch. The same thing that happen at miami happen elsewhere. The QB throws an interception and the first person they talk to is the coach. That happens here, Bama, OSU, etc. Saban’s players are so “scared” they push a coach on the sideline and go back in the game.
 
I think Richt will leave UM better than he found it. Which isn't setting the bar that high considering our last two coaches. Will he win a Natty? Who knows. But I do know one thing he won't be here as long as he was at Georgia if he has mediocre season after mediocre season. Miami fans will not play the 15 year waiting game.

I watched Zonk sulk around outside the old Biscane college practice facility rather than go inside to face Shula. I watched JJ take Jerome Brown, rip, to the ground at Greentree, straddle him, and poking his grill screaming about him taking a play off at practice. Mark is a fantastic man and good coach. He needs to instill more a$$ pucker in players, coaches, and refs and less hugs and kisses. As he is, he is a 10 win coach. That is nice but not title worthy.
