UGA WRs last year

One of the issues with Georgia is that Dillon Bell and Arian Smith were much more athletes than receivers. They were stiff as pass catchers.

They had their strengths, but those strengths didn’t match well with Beck. He is a precision, pro-style passer that does better with route runners and/or contested catch guys like Colby Young.
Smith can run, but couldn’t catch a cold.

Beck has the 5th best “on target throw” percentage of all draft eligible QBs since 2019.

#1 is Joe Burrow.

He’s incredibly accurate.

We were blessed with some very reliable WRs and TEs last year despite Cams sometimes insane risk taking throws

People can basically pin point the one or two big drops we had last year they were that rare

I know Jojo is heralded for incredible hands (pause?) but this is a huge concern for me this year. Not that they can’t do it, but last year we were really really good imo

We will miss Restrepo this year, he bailed us out a ton. We can match the rest of the groups production IMO.

so Sam Shields at WR?

I've never been a big Beck guy, but also think him coming to Miami is a great fit for both sides. You get a little nervous hearing all the negativity about how he's fallen off, but seeing this made me feel so much better and validates a lot of the "their WRs were trash" narrative.
