UGA vs Tennessee

I dunno, we could have done as well as that against UGA. TvD might have hit a couple of those open throws. I always thought Hooker was your standard running QB. Didn't think he was good when he was at VT.
You think we'd keep it that close with uga? I see them scoring 40 on us

Think of a pro style approach with spread concepts. That’s 75% of a power run spread. There’s more to it and obviously other ideologies sprinkled in there but that’s what the best of the best run. Briles was more sideline to sideline with a zone blocking scheme. Zone blocking schemes aren’t physical though.

Care to add?

Gonna try to get to seats, if sober and a W will probably jump on board and discuss but We run a "power spread" now

Tenn was only in position of #1 ranked team BECAUSE of offense they run. They wouldnt be there trying to run some complicated nfl offense. People love to point at lesser talent teams losing to talent stacked team when only reason we watched the game is because of their offense giving them a chance, they are not lining up in pro style with hendon hooker and scoring 50 points a game tryna do that..

Either way GO CANES!

Does UGA run a complicated offense? How about Syracuse or UNC?

Mario himself said wanted to be a power spread team. Just because the playcaller sucks doesn’t mean the scheme does.

@Miami[]_[]Smoke you seem to have trouble with reading try it again pal. This doesn't say shît about running the ball. It's about modern offense vs the 1960's shít that is Jimbos bread in butter. Lemme know when you figure it out.
You cant beat a more talented team like Georgia or Bama by lining it up and trying to win with three yards and a cloud of dust.

“3 yds and a cloud of dust“ isn’t a synonym for running the football? Ok. the saying literally originates from woody Hayes and his boring, run heavy offense and his disdain for the passing game. passing For 285 yds and rushing for 94 isn’t “3 yds and a cloud of dust”

In a thread titled uga vs tennesse where you are arguing that Tennessees offense can’t win big games
Yea no. I was clearly mentioning our own playcaller and I still don’t know how you got that confused when the post you quoted was talking about us.

Lmfao OSU, Clemson, UGA, Bama, UK, USC, Syracuse, and a plethora of other top 25 teams right now run a power spread attack.

It’s not my fault you don’t have enough brain cells to figure out that the playcaller sucks. Not the scheme.
So if you think Mario’s scheme/philosophy is great and only the playcalling is at fault this year , I can’t wait for year 4 when we finally get a top 50 offense, which is what Oregon was last year. Somehow Oregon is top 5 this year without him While our offense had gotten much worse….Hmmmmm, tough choice. Not to mention the fact that Mario hired the very playcaller you’re blaming

So a plethora of other teams can run the same scheme and have a top 15 offense but Mario can’t?

Yea log out my guy. You shouldn’t be talking about anything involving football.

he’s been a hc for 11 years and his best offense was 39th…why would I believe he could/would do something he can’t do even once in a freaking decade? he hasn’t even gotten close to top 15…He is what he is, and no amount of cult like devotion to him is going to change his offensive philosophy and results he has produced.

Man these guys wanting this air raid must be happy with 8 wins. This is a long-term build to dominance where you can like up against the bamas and ugas and dogfight. Those air raids will never win in a trench war

That happens in every game. This game a lot of things haven’t gone UT’s way and Hooker has had a bad game too.

8 false starts and sht I doubt that has happened in any game this year.

They’re playing in Athens in a wild environment today. Not sure why it counts against UT when they beat Bama if it isn’t going to be considered as a factor for them losing to Georgia in their home too
That's the point. They didn't jump because they were at home. You go on the road in college football and to win, you have more adversity to overcome. If UGA played at UT, the game could have been a lot closer.
