They knew this was the best way to keep Tennessee in the hunt. Tennessee will fall to 5 now and still be in contention.Somebody should’ve told the committee that.
For those with access, here is a very informative overview: https://theathletic.com/3756306/2022/11/03/tennessee-vols-heupel-hooker-scheme-georgia/I dunno, but for a copy cat league, I’m shocked more teams don’t run it.
A great OL provides quite a lot of flexibility. Imagine THAT!In bunch sets. Imagine that!

All you need to do this is have 40 five stars and far more talent than all your opponents.Bearing a comeback by UT physical football dominates again in this game. Kirby watched his mentor do it for years....it is what we need to model and I regularly endorse here on CIS
Yeah all you need are a few shutdown corners, two of the best TEs in football, the best D line in football, a few of the best LBs in football, the best RB stable in football... what am I forgetting? Why didn't we think of that? All you need to do this is have 40 five stars and far more talent than all your opponents.
Physical football >
Btw his mentor throws for 350-400 yards a game now , wins Heismans with qb’s and wr’s.
I'm sure UT not short on stars and 6th year seniors.....the point is if you can load the roster with elite talent and play physical bc that's what you've built the program on it becomes dominance and not some flashy girlfriend with twitchy legsAll you need to do this is have 40 five stars and far more talent than all your opponents.

TENN defense soft as butter in the desertPro style vs Air Raid war rages on lmao. More than one way to have an effective offense. Problem is we haven't seen one like Tennesee's win a championship. The better Tennessee recruits the sooner that changes.
Cause they focus on labels instead of what’s actually going on. People hear spread and think its not physical and hear pro style and think it can’t be wide openSeriously.
Why do fans think an offense can’t be physical and wide open? It‘s not an either/or option.
It takes players, sure, but can be done.
UGA throws more than UT.I'm sure UT not short on stars and 6th year seniors.....the point is if you can load the roster with elite talent and play physical bc that's what you've built the program on it becomes dominance and not some flashy girlfriend with twitchy legs
The funny thing is UT is pretty **** physical, they run the ball well. They’re just not that talented. They have guys in places but the scheme is what’s gotten them here. The talent discrepancy in this game is night and day different.Seriously.

The misconception of physical football is that it's running the I formation. GA throws more than they run but they run when they want to...not when they have to. They don't have the gaudy stats on offense but bleed you out lateI'm sure UT not short on stars and 6th year seniors.....the point is if you can load the roster with elite talent and play physical bc that's what you've built the program on it becomes dominance and not some flashy girlfriend with twitchy legs
