UGA vs OU game thread

OU’s play calling looked like Richt’s. Why did they go away from what they were doing on the 1st half?

Richt would of least let his QB throw the football and probably goes for it on the 4th and 1 in the first OT.

Im so use to bad defense..that what ou does is normal to me....Their d looks like what we did a few days ago
Your comments seem exaggerated. It's not that dramatic or bad. There are holes. Our zone pass D needs an infusion of talent and an overhaul in matchups. There are rigidity issue w/ the 3rd LB. Yet, we tried different things and got beat regardless.

how?. Alot of the same feelings i had with No Frio's defense i have currently. The only difference i see..i fully expect this staff to recruit better than the last. Any qb with or with a smidge of passing talent did what they want with this d. UVA QB,a true freshman at Pitt, Toledo, UNC's bum., Wisky's BUM the other day.

Diaz adjust better coming out the half..but there is alot of BAD, BAD stuff.
Exactly. That is emotional and without any basis in statistics or field evidence. The only difference you see is potentially better recruiting? Come on now. You know football better than most. Totally different philosophies. Totally different willingness to try multiple things (even within the same game). Diaz has to clean up his 3rd down pass D and playcalling. Specifically, his zones. His fire zones are stale now. But, when he went man coverage - something D'Ono rarely was willing to do - we got spun. When did we have a Top 10 defense in yards per play under D'Ono? You're my guy, but I don't follow you on this one at all. At base, we'll die swinging. Sometimes overswinging. If that brings to mind D'ono, we watched different defenses.

Not emotional at all. I meant from a schematic approach. Stone cold ..Stupid sh*t. The dropping of Chad Thomas or Joe Jackson in coverage. (Joe Jackson should never go no direction but forward). The trotting of 3 lbs out when team is definately in spread 4 wide. Terrible 3rd down d.

Now i agree...Manny is a guy that will go down swinging. And their philosophies differ totally.
Like I said, his fire zones are stale. He's been unnecessarily rigid in two ways:

- dropping the viper regardless of it being Joe Jackson, who I agree should do that maybe 3-4x a season, not a game.
- 3LBs against spread sets has been bizarre from jump. I have no explanation for it.

The rest is totally different stuff. We've gone Nickel. We've gone man under. We've gone Robber. We've done a ton of **** D'Ono didn't have the balls to do. We'll see what he does next year about 3rd downs, but I anticipate Gurvan Hall actually making a difference. We can also really use another Corner. Delaney struggled for us. If we're not better next year on 3rd downs, count me in to saying Diaz has rigidity issues.

Sooners chit the bed AGAIN. Still imagine what we could have done in 2000 to these bums. As usual, we got ****ed.

Run game and defense wins again.

Epic, all-time great game. Will be talking about this one forever.

So many players made a LOT of money in this game.

Solid game and credit due to Smart and company for making their second half adjustments.

What a game by Sony. He finally lived up to those early high school highlights where he looked like an all world talent. Not that his college career wasn't good to this point, but he was next level tonight.

Say goodbye to Tyson Campbell

It’s ok. Clemson is going to kick their teeth in.

how does them winning omg im done explaining it...........i dont get how people think a win or loss makes a kid change there mind. U have to be new to recruiting u have to be.

Yep. You could say having a great season would do it for a kid. But a kid at this juncture already has their mind made up. Winning or losing this late in the game really means ****.
