they make it sound like he didnt inherit rosters full of talent. even the opening to the game, they are talking like he recruited chubb, michel, carter ,etc.

aint that something. Most of their key guys he had nothing to do with developing or recruiting. We shall see from here on out. But he basically jacked everything from Bama.lmao...and they are applauding it.. they blew 500k on guys that lick letters and send dms. That shows how much state money these big schools waste because to be honest they do all that..and their booster still has to drop bags.

Folks a lot of this is bs. Richt begged for some of this stuff for years but the AD turned a blind ear. I don’t want to ear **** about how much better it is. I live in GA. My dad went to UGA and his best friend is a huge booster. He knows the story. UGA just got an IPF. Think about that for a minute. A big time school like UGA just getting an IPF? Richt begged for it. The AD/Tarkenton wanted Richt gone and tried to do things on the cheap. Remember all the hubbub about PRuitt causing problems? Yeah, that was cause when he came from Alabama he was also pushing to get GA more resources.

GA is only winning cause they have played ****ty teams. The SEC east isn’t horrible. They beat ND by 1 and we blew them out. If we would have beaten Pitt we would have been #1 and even when Clemson Beat us we still would have made the playoffs. All this hubbub is because people hate the pastor Richt and GAnis in the playoffs.

I dont think anyone on this board after year 2 hates Mark, if they do thats ridiculous

People like me realize he is past his prime and won't win titles here. You guys are holding on with blind hope because of the last two coaches here. If Miami finishes next year like they did this year then you will see recruits start to fade away. I fully expect him to ultimately fail here.

Yeah he inherited a great team and the #1 class during his transition. He’s still got to prove he sustain success. I think looking at the state of the SEC east if he is a decent coach he will be at least win his division most years.

also those are the fall guys that likely commit the minor ncaa infractions....cause im literally puzzled on what those 9 jackoffs really do..considering real coaches are suppose to have limited contact. They are essentially "watching film, breaking down film"...i doubt it. Did u see our film room session wigth golden and company when the actual db coach was eating a hot pocket and basically had no say...u think the ball boy dudes/fanatics they have are having say so in recruiting?. Like i said they wasting 500k...but thats what bama does as well...im not sure how these schools are allowed to have basically 500 coaches. They are paying these guys almose 60k a year for "hey big head text", photoshopped pictures, and decommitment post that they write and send for recruits to copy and paste when they decommit from their teams but thank the staff and fans with a bible verse

When Clemson made their 1st title game appearance their average class ranking the previous 4 years was 13th.

Exactly...matter of fact, I remember reading an article that compared Richt & Dabo's class from a certain year, and Richt's class lost something like half His players from that class, while Dabo's had very little attrition. And that class was the core of Dabo's NC appearing & winning teams.

i was just about to say as well about recruiting..UGA literally has NO COMPETITORS IN STATE for recruiting. It isnt a situation like what we have here in Fla...They occasionally go up against Bama, Auburn, and as of late Clemson...but from the high school coaches, to the community its all UGA.

Their class is smoking with bagman Coley being up there and being able to identify some s.fla kids for them as well to add with it. Coley could eat off of just going after guys um slept on....which he did this go round.

And for all the hype Florida/Texas/Cali get, Georgia produces ballers as well. Being between the Carolinas and Florida certainly doesn’t hurt either.

Second, I am not arguing with a single poster who accurately points out that UGa's CURRENT success is due largely to experience, Richt's players, and a weak SEC East. All of those points are valid.

But most importantly, many posters are downplaying this article and ignoring that its impact will be felt in the (near) future. UGa's class currently has SIX 5-star players. Clearly, these methods are paying significant dividends in only the second year of Smart's tenure.

So let's not ignore this. Let's emulate this, and improve upon this with our major advantage in our football alumni base.

I worked with two people at a small FCS school with two staffers that currently work at Georgia. One was the director of academics for football. The other was director of operations and coached kickers. Both took jobs that are lower in title but both got raises and less responsibility. The director of academics just looks at transcripts for recruits and the the director of operations just handles one aspect of operations instead of the whole ship. That lets you know how much money their throwing around.

**** saban aint win at MSU, u need the right fit and maybe MR will be that maybe not. We all know this though Miami is an easy job if u protect the recruiting base
