I am honestly fine with the conservative gameplan but their backup DL is having to much success stopping the run.
It’s too obvious and telegraphed.

Like @Cribby mentioned, supplement the run game with screens. That playcall to Lofton to put us on the 6 was beautiful.

Get some more motion, screens, play action involved.

We are going to be conservative this game. Unless their offense actually scores expect the same in the second half with the running game. I think the rainy start kind of dictated the game plan a little bit too.

We're going to be conservative because their only hope on offense is to get a turnover deep in our territory.

Somehow people are overlooking the fact they are missing 3 starting DL. Our D has been lights out, while our O needs to turn the **** lights on. There really is no excuse for the O to be underperfoming at this level considering the pieces UF is missing

Do us a favor, sit down. There are multiple factors at play here tonight, some of which limit how ugly this game will ultimately get. You have weather, UF playing a bend but don't break defense, which limits explosives and honestly, makes it difficult to break the game open. Napier knows his team is shorthanded and ultimately screwed, so he decided to go with the old Mike Norvell "I'm not going to do anything that can get me blown out" strategy.

The big thing tonight are the mental errors. Brockermeyer is responsible for 3-4 mental mistakes by himself, that's tough. Miami can and should be able to pull away in the second half, especially if the weather cooperates and it stops raining. A couple of drops and weird plays have happened because of the wet football, and I'm quite sure that's why Dawson isn't calling certain concepts. Don't give Florida, a team that can't score on **** near anyone an opportunity to crawl back into the game on a short field, or on a fluke play.
The problem is that Mario lets the same thing happen over and over again. Remember Syracuse. Remember GA TECH who actually substituted tithe qb that could run and the qb that could throw? Remember the countless teams that simply ran crossing routes and we could not stop ti? Get Brock out of the Fing game. Dawson not calling certain concepts?!?! That’s laughable thinking Dawson is anything without Cam calling his own plays. Mario will keep doing the exact same thing this half and then “fix it” in the off season

Yes, and so does our OC. If it's not there, it's not there.

Back to the point: we're not going to call plays to impress high school receivers.
We should call plays to players that help us win games. Bauman isn't one of those players unless he's being asked to block.

In other news I just stuck with wine the rest of the night. NZ Sauvignon Blanc with some fish I threw in the broiler.......come out here with a TD drive and we've got this

offense complain in the locker room at half time the defense gets the ball back too fast, they r gassed..

Beck looked like he could run a little bit in the USF game. Maybe a designed run could give UF something to think about. Just need to go from a 3 to a 6 (on scale of 1-10 for offensive innovation) and we win in a blowout.

We run some jail break stuff to the perimeter but the rb screen game is the biggest issue I’ve had with Dawson.
His play call sequence is horrible after the first drive script…

No creativity or any sense of timing for catching the defense off balance…
