Uche wants to get away from what I understand. He probably just wants to do the whole college thing. I think there will be some other schools getting involved here before February. Doesn't look like he has any issues with UM, just wants to get away.

Thats fine, but why commit in the first place, and call Miami your dream school, then reaffirm your commitment just a couple months ago?

Dude, I have no idea. 17 year old kids aren't exactly known for emotional intelligence. Maybe he sees other kids at his school looking into destinations outside of Miami and he wants the same experience.

These kids usually commit to every single school they visit at one point or another.
 
This is the DE with the chance to be a Barkevious Mingo/Dion Jordan.

His athleticism you can't teach, and that first step is what gets you sacks at the big time college level. Big loss that he wants to leave. If he wants to get away I'm not mad at him. You know he has his reasons, and those reasons can come up rather suddenly (like wanting to get away from bad influences, bad situations, falling out with a group of friends, parental issues, girls, you name it).
 
Saw his tape very explosive.... Now dude is saying he is stil interested in Miami but no one has contacted him...and how its really weird becuase he was comitted for so longl.....he said that he cant make miami want him
 
I like Uche as a WLB but he does not seem to be a priority for the new staff.

The 3 LB's in this class are very good.

For a kid supposedly as smart as he is he is playing this real dumb. Decommits because he wants to get away, we get a real staff in here and he wants to be wined and dined, but isn't getting in contact with them to get on their radar.

I like him a lot as a player so I would love to see him back in the boat but this kid got sucked into the recruiting madness and isn't liking the result...or at least that's how I'm reading this.

Saw him live and all he did was make plays - albeit against lesser athletes. Problem was he was so raw that it looked like he had just grown 6" and wasn't sure how to coordinate all of his limbs.

Like Lu, I saw him live (Belen and South Dade) and I agree 100%. He will be a star if he gets to Michigan. Elite twitch and a good motor.
 
"can't make Miami want him"?

he was committed here and he chose to decommit. that is on him and was his choice.

i know columbus kids that talk with him regularly, he wants to leave miami. nothing to do with the U. he wants a a geographical change. <5% he is coming here.
 
This is the same kid who after he decommitted from us he was wanting to commit to UF and they wouldn't take him isn't it?
 
I can't criticize any kid who decommitted during the mess Golden left this season. Who knew Miami would pay up for a coach like Richt? And he liked UF from day one, then saw that team start to melt down like a Golden/Shannon special in the second half of the year. So it's no surprise he is looking back our way. Hope it works out for Uche and we have room for him. Wish him luck either way.
