The new name plates look great. I get that the old plates were intended to look like the originals, but technology has changed, and that look isn't acceptable anymore.
I couldn't care less about the U on the collar, because it's an insignificant detail. You have the logo on the helmet, on all gloves, wristbands, etc. There isn't a shortage of identifiable branding when it comes to this program.

Guaranteed, some folks on here now think we are winning the ACC this season and heading to the playoffs solely based on the fact that little artifact has found its way onto the collar of the unis...that was the difference between beating Pitt/Clemson/Wisconsin...Lmao
I do like the U's on the collar tho.
Don't be ridiculous, nobody here thinks a U on the collar will win us more games.
In other news, several people think we will win it all if we don't wear green or black at all this year.
I'd like to see the players numbers between the U on the helmet, we did it in the 91' game vs FSU.
I'm not the one being ridiculous...I have never made those assertions. It's some of your CIS brothers...FACTS
When?I'd like to see the players numbers between the U on the helmet, we did it in the 91' game vs FSU.
When?
My bad, it was 92'.
The whole team didn't do it, looked to me like it was just a few of the defensive guys.
You can see it at 4:52 of this video with Kevin Patrick.
That was a tribute to Rusty Medearis.
