Tyreic Martin to portal?

That's fine but "processed" sounds like he was given the boot to make room for other kids.

We don't have enough other kids to even fill out a roster, so what's the point in processing a kid. If he wanted to go elsewhere for grad school and to play, fine.
He's processed because after 4 years, he will not be awarded an opportunity to take up a roster spot for a 5th. He's not even a depth piece or kid that they think is worth bringing back for a 5th year clearly.

With more transfers coming potentially, this is just a dumb move unless we are going to just grab any transfer with a pulse.
If there is any position we are good at it's DT.

Martin moving on won't hurt us. He's not an FBS level player.

Yeah when schools need scholarships i agree. But when they don't, what's the harm?

What if Moise doesn't make it in, or gets put on OL? We'd be down to 6 DTs. What if Jon Ford goes pro and Moise doesn't make it in? 5. 1 injury? 4. See where i'm going? If things happen, you don't even have a body for practice.

If a kid graduates and wants to move on for a chance at snaps.....100% fine. But i'm not processing ANYONE on a roster this depleted unless the kid is a bad locker room guy.

Dykstra and Polendey next
[/QUOTE]

Some may remember that when Dykstra signed, there was either a picture or video of him doing a one-handed handstand on a kettlebell. Several posters commented on this and offered their static / dynamic / kinetics analyses to conclude that this would translate into him becoming a great O lineman at the U. Although the handstand part was impressive, it apparently didn't translate into him becoming a successful lineman.

If any of that happens then they'll bring in a GT, because they clearly didn't even think this kid was worth playing after 4 years at the school. Why keep him for a 5th?

He's FCS level at best.

For reference: Tusculum, a Pretty average D2 in Tennessee, is interested in him. A friend on the staff asked me if I knew anything about him with me being a Canes fan. My response - "There were times when we questioned if the kid was alive or existed. Never heard a thing about him"

Only a detriment on Twitter and perception of "rats abandoning the ship" - thankful for the extra spot on a new roster.

Martin never played. probably lack of talent but was not the cause of this teams downfall like Blakie and Diaz.

I was blown away that we were able to steal him out from under Nick Saban's nose. Great win for our staff.

Kinda funny when you see a name like this and the first thought is wondering if the post is about a kid that disrespected us on signing day and ended up doing nothing at some other school.

Nahhh, it's just a kid that's been on the team for years that you completely forgot even existed.

We back!
