Tyler Harrell commits to Miami

Coaching is a good ol boys network, they look out for each other..
Not if you knew the things goin on with him you wouldn't. Locksley brought him there because of his previous relationship and cause he's directly under locksley with the offense. Locksley calls that offense not gattis unless this season he has finally turned around and said I'm gonna give up play calling. Which knowing Mike I can't see that happening as simple as that.

Yall got to cut the **** with this lol.

One got scooped up by Bama in the portal.

One got scooped up by Cincinnati.

Its not even close who is the better WR.

Henderson is tall and has long speed. Long speed isn't that transferable to football.

Harrell is explosive and gets to 3rd gear in no time. Thats transferable.
Yep. Can't teach 4.2 speed. Stay healthy and work hard, and we just might have ourselves a game changer.

TVD

It's not an excuse when your offensive line nearly ends your career. We had a football team with a bad culture, bad scheme fit, and riddled with offensive line injuries. We literally had 3rd string offensive linemen starting.

Everything about last season was not solely on TVD's shoulders, so stop blaming him as having excuses. If you don't have time to throw the ball, you're going to have more incompletions and interceptions. Those are facts not excuses.
People hyped TVD as heisman candidate, I will be at Hard rock against Texas AM to see if he can finally come thru, and clemson.. Will probably be at a couple road games also, Tally.. Dude needs to show up, tired of the hype with no results

Sounds like its another who you know and not what you know situation. Not sure how what you said doesnt prove my point but whatever

I agree with what you're saying. However there salso plenty of validity in what he's saying. You guys put everything on EVERYONE but tvd last season. When the line was healthy(relatively speaking)& playing as a strength tvd still was playing very poorly. All those things you said are accurate. It WASN'T ALL TVD FAULT. However SOME OF IT WAS... He didn't believe in what we were doing(as he shouldn't have)& HE never gave it a chance. It was doomed from day #1 because if your starting QB doesn't buy in and shows that's how he feels to his entire unit well then how's the rest of the team gonna approach it. Plenty of things last season people need to realize there's plenty of blame to go around and part of that is his. Simple.
Exactly. I saw him come out V MTSU and throw a pick 6 first play. He was not playing well combined with the other issue. Bad body language and bad leadership. Football is the ultimate team game, no one escapes blame.

Harrell is quicker and faster and both are around the same weight. Looks more explosive.

Henderson is 6'3" and 195 pounds. His best year which was last year. He had 38 receptions for 410 yards and only 2 TDs with a 10.8 average. You would think he would have had more jump balls in the end zone with his height but had a crappy QB throwing it. Henderson is really fast but more of a 200 and 400 meter runner than a 100 meter with a best time of 11.06. He did not race the 100 his senior year. His 200 meter 21.09 is very fast.

Harrell is 6'0" and 194 pounds. Not a shrimp little sprinter. In 2021, he had 18 receptions for 523 yards with six TDs with a 29.1 average. That is insane and why Saban got him to come to Alabama with some really tough competition and then he injured his ankle. Harrell's best 100 meter time of 10.37 his junior year in high school would give him the fastest 100 meter time for Miami football player ever. He ran 4.24 40 at Louisville.

Chris Johnson might have something to say about that at the Florida State high school track and field championships next week May 19th. His times are ahead of last years times matching his last years finals time and personal record with this years winning region time of 10.45 and breaking his personal record 20.66 200 meter which ties Miami's all time track record.

Johnson was running 10.7s in last years district and region. This year he is running 10.4s in the district and region. He has two weeks between regions and states this year. I think he should hit in the 10.3s or better this time around. Hopefully they have great weather.

Got more competition pushing him this year with a couple of blazing 10.4 fast freshman from American Heritage that Johnson beat last week. One of them Zamarii Sanders ran a 10.27 this year but with a 4 mph wind at his back.
Im hoping with competition Johnson gets 10.2s atleast. Like you said he hasnt really been challenged, same as last year where he put himself on map at states improving on his time significantly compared to regions/district. If going by history he should have a decent jump and really put up some great times. I been waiting all year for this.. Either way, glad to have that type of speeeeeeeeed at miami as we have been a slow af team for yearsss and many have underplayed the significance for awhile. I been tryna sound the alarm as we dont scare anybody, even cupcakes for a long time now..

"Tired of the hype without the results."

Who is responsible for the hype?

Who is responsible for the results? Only the QB?

Would Bryce Young have won a Heisman playing on our team last year behind a depleted offensive line or would he have got destroyed?

Many of our fans make no sense and are irrational. They themselves create the hype, then throw shade when their expectations aren't met. Completely ignoring the facts of the situation to throw blame at our QB without rational analysis of the team, the coaching, and scheme.

The fans approach to TVD is like saying a RB is terrible even though the offensive line can't block.

TVD is so awful that Alabama came calling inquiring about a transfer. Our fans need a serious reality check.

We all need to sit back and let the team develop. Let's not have expectations of how good or bad anyone is before the season starts. Let them show us on the field.

Wasn't just TVD not buying in ... Ponce, the QB coach wasn't buying in to what Gattis was trying to do. Gattis was WAY over his head and it was obvious to every coach and player. The guy DID NOT run the offense at Michigan. They promoted two other assistants ... one for game planning ... and Harbaugh had input on the actual play calling. So you have a guy with an OC title that is inept at game planning, can't scheme to his roster skill sets, and is horrible at play calling on game day. There was a total meltdown (aka cluster ****) on the offensive side of the ball. Gattis DIDNT KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING and it impacted every single facet of the offense. UM would have been more productive without an OC last year, simply keeping the Lashlee play book and letting TVD call the plays with game planning assistance from Ponce.
Ponce would’ve been a better OC honestly.

Good take. But I don't think this stops us from adding one of the juco guys or whoever else. At the end of the day Harrell has like 600 yards receiving in his career, and played 6 games last year for Bama who didn't have any good WRs and he only got 2 catches... So not sure how much of that he was injured, but to me this doesn't change much. He's got the upside to be our main deep threat though.
**** those stats not it he been in college like 4 years ..I get injuries happen but uhh why folks excited ?

Exactly!

At LVille he was not their primary WR, he was the 4th option & got limited targets in a Run-Heavy Satterfield Offense with a Run first QB in Malik Cunningham & STILL put up 500+yards receiving & 720 all-purpose yards. He was 3rd in yards & 1st in Receiving TD’s for LVille & again, he was their FOURTH WR...

That’s why Saban took him, because when he was healthy he was an uncoverable explosive weapon that produced despite limited opportunities with a run-first QB.

You put this kid in a more wide open Offense with a Deep-ball passer & you got yourself a real threat.

Don't know the overall #'s offensively, but Satterfield appeared masterful in setting up those shots, utilizing ++ speed. Harrell was wiiide open fairly often. We saw Richt to a lesser degree set up shots like that to Jeff Thomas; and after that even Dee Wiggins a few times under Enos (?). We all know Mario needs to open it up a bit, but the Harrell shots in a run-oriented offense at L'svl demonstrate why you don't abandon the run.
