I was told this last night through a good buddy of mine. Didn't want to ruin his moment. Expect more transfers to come into STA.

it's an interesting move because yesterday on Caneshades he said he was considering reclassifying to 2016 and if he couldn't do that he would be and EE in 2017. STA doesn't allow players to be EE's so i wonder if he'll really push hard for reclassification now.

I'm not too familiar with FL academic processes but could this transfer possibly make it easier or him to graduate early? I.E. they offer more online classes or kids to overload or something of the sort?

The IMG of SoFl kids

Except Aquinas is a real school. There's something strange about IMG. I love that we have Walsh there but I bet we eventually see a string of Todd Marinovich type kids also come out of there. It's destined to be a magnet for coddled kids that have maniac fathers that had a sports related "plan" and program for the kid since the day he was born.

This is interesting. Maybe he will reclassify and I bet it would be easier at a school like STA instead of Dillard.

Looks like ole' Roger is locking things down in Broward. Goes back to my theory about how kids in Broward nowadays don't want to go to schools in the hood' anymore. No honor in reppin' the hometown team. It still seems like an important thing in Dade but not Broward anymore.

It's crazy. I was over in that area a few weeks ago. The "campus" is insane. I'd just be much more apt to take a kid that they "recruited" and put on scholarship than one that's paying their way there. If you've ever seen this Will Grier clown at UiF and his douchebag father that's the kind of kid/family I see attracted to it.

St Thomas Aquinas IS VERY SERIOUS ABOUT ACADEMICS! There is no cooking the books going on there so id Dunning is transferring there he will have to attend school year around summers included to reclassify an I don't believe STA offers voluntary summer school. So if he does truly want to reclassify or EE then he will need to stay in public school.

But with the UM's 2016 class almost it would be more beneficial for him to stay in HS the additional year to develop further.

Go Canes

You can't really compare STA to IMG, they are apples and Watermelons type difference.

Here is a video about STA's strength & conditioning program for instance which pales in comparison to IMG's. STA's S&C is very impressive for a high school program, but IMG is other worldly.

You can't graduate early from catholic private schools - at least the ones down here. American heritage does not do early graduations either

STA been recruiting since the 80's. Even still it's not like they win State every year. Most but not every. As long as the FHSAA allows unfair competition, the public schools, have to operate on a different set of rules that restrict athlete movement between schools, at least in Hillsborough county. That's why you have to be careful recruiting a STA because some guys will look a hellava lot better playing with superstar teams than their their actual talent really is.

In Broward private schools are known for being better programs with more recent success. Heritage, STA, Gibbons, Chaminade and U school > Miramar, Flanagan, Coconut Creek, Cypress, etc. If I was a parent of the lower middle class or lower class, I would send my kid to the private school every time over the public school because the majority of Broward public schools are awful except Cypress
