I think he makes an impact right away, at least on special teams.

Will he become a 2 way player at Miami? I know his ceiling is very high as a db but he is great with the ball in his hands

He looks like he would be ready to make an impact day 1.

If we could land Byrd, Mullen, Young and Hardman in this class it would be like old school canes secondary.

I seriously doubt that. As good as Byrd may be with the ball in his hands, he is just too valuable at CB. Besides, a player would have to be a true freak to play 2 ways at his level. Also if we recruit the WR position like we should there would be no need for Byrd to get snaps on offense.

He honestly looks way better on offense because of the offense they run. Naples runs a veer style option offense much like the old marshall in the 70s. So defenses constantly just man him up one on one with no help over the top, and on every play even if it's a run they tell him to run the first ten yards of a go route just to get the corner to fall sleep. He is good on offense but his upside is all on defense.

Kid isn't afraid to go in and hit and god **** at that burst he has from a stand still

He already has the size to make an impact day 1. Also, I love that he plays WR and has good ball skills. I think he's getting a lot of PT next year regardless if Burns or Elder leaves early.

We will need this young man to play right away as our depth in the secondary is paper thin...
