I know it’s not the same situation, but the portal deadline is BS. Xavier Lucas is the prime example that you don’t have to listen to those dates or what your former school thinks.

People just taking guesses for clicks, since they've seen the number floated out there and looked at the schools without true portal starters to this point. Does it really sound realistic a school is going to beat all other school offers by $2.5M? Would you offer $250k more than anyone else for your house just because?
It sounds realistic to me. Teams are competing against the nfl draft more than other CFB teams. 4 mil isn’t going to get him to withdraw his name.
He was listening still after he declared. I don't think Moore is coming out so I believe Simpson will be the 2nd QB taken which would be the 1st RD regardless of talent. I think he will bust as a 1st RD pick because he isn't ready. I would love to have him over Leavitt. I just don't see the maturity from that camp to say, he isn't ready, 1st RD or not. He could always have a Nuss. year or injury and make a huge mistake not going. It's a hard decision. I took him off my radar already.
It isn’t as much Miami vs other schools as it is Miami vs NFL draft.

Not just Miami but the reporting on $ is insane…agents are just playing these writers like fiddles.
There are actual good writers out there like Godfrey, Spencer Hall, etc but you’ll notice they don’t get leaked things…anyone with an actual bull**** meter can’t cover college football recruiting at the national level because they’ll get starved out.
