can gurvan hall and keontra smith play corner? give me some dudes out there, we got skinny, wiry guys that cant run

I do think that King's timing was off in the passing game, but you can't deny that he has a good arm. I also think that the play calling was vanilla. It seems that we only ran about 4 running plays the whole night. If you look back at the game, King probably could have doubled his rushing stats if he would have pulled some of those RPO's that he just handed off to the running backs. Lol....I think we all have some form of PTSD because of how we ended last year. Relax, we are 1-0.

Unfortunately this team still suffers from the same disease... The head man is not a great coach... It sucks buts it's the reality... We lose focus... We go up about to make a run on points and Wiggins kicks a guy.. Penalty...Kills momentum... We go up three scores to start fourth and then we get a barrage of penalties.. One of which put us in a spot where cam Harris took a shot to the knee... This team still doesn't have the disincline

These guys still play uninspired ball if it weren't for King it would be the same result as last year... Kid has the it factor naturally hopefully he can change the culture
The team had 3 penalties all night. What is this barrage of penalties you speak of?

This time last year we were 0-1 on our way to a 0-2 start.

we are 1-0 with Louisville next. 2-0 here we come.

Some of you guys are calling for the vanilla offense or whatever......that’s cool. But if this is 2017 all over and we win 10-11 Games I’ll take that tbh.

Winning actual football games over every stat. We win 10 games and lock up some monster recruiting classes for 21 and 22. Then we won’t have to worry about the stats. We will have better athletes and the stats will take care of itself.

Just win the **** football games idc how they do it. Running the ball and playing D is great recipe for winning and Miami did that last night.

Navy was the best rushing team in America and won 11 games. You won’t find many great rushing teams that are absolute trash.....

1. Offense will get better. Very bland playcalling by design.
2. No more big cushions. And CBs need to use hands in press coverage. Actually jam the WR.

So by fast tempo we really mean hurry up and add on a two yard run? WTF? That **** didnt work one time. I was thinking it was about mismatches with receivers or TE not running the ball quickly up the middle for 2 yards. Those were literally our worst running plays outside of planned runs with the QB.

Do you think UAB wasn’t stacking the box? Do you think UAB’s gameplay was to just allow Miami to run for 350 yards? Miami spent much of the evening running some very basic runs right into a stacked box. They opened it up for a bit to build a lead and then turned the volume right back down again. I understand as fans we want to see an offense come out and wow us with incredible plays but that’s not how football in reality works. In the real world, you keep the game plan simple and basic for two reasons. 1st is that you obviously don’t need to put a bunch of stuff on film against a weaker opponent. 2nd, you just installed a brand new offense with no spring practices and limited practice time in the summer. Your goal in week one is to move the ball, score some points and not turn it over or rack up stupid penalties.
They didnt really stack the box, watch the replay, they ran 4i tite defense alot. On most of D'eriq king scramble it was rush 5 and man 1 so seems like no one had qb. Ill take it. Mind you that is their D. Alot of teams have started running it against spread

What game are you watching?
Holy ****, if not for King’s scrabbling and the three NFL backs on this team, we’d be TFL every play. UAB was in our back field all day every day. Seriously, what game were you watching? You seriously feel or OL did a even 1/2 way decent job? You must be on drugs.
"If it weren't for players taking advantage of holes, we couldn't block at all!"

If Ivy is just going to run into the receivers can he at least do it with his head turned around? I mean WTF? Dude seemed to be playing catch up all night on basic dudes. Also stop saying UAB is a good team. We should have head stomped these pu$sties but got no real push on either side of the ball. 15 leaving didnt make that big of a difference. No FN way this was a top Dline with him here. We mauled no one straight up. UAB QBs played scared and our best defensive player was wearing yellow.
