Anyone notice all the UM employees urging everyone to stop tweeting recruits?

Came from four different people

Maybe something is up?

From the compliance department. I think this is because Michigan have gotten in trouble for there booster getting involve with the recruitment of George Campbell.

They're also probably tired of noticing that fans are talking **** to Wilson and Lane on twitter. They'd probably like to avoid some "Stay Classy, Miami" article that some Gator beat writer has primed and ready to print a couple of days after they "shock the world".

Agree. Especially when those two announce UF this weekend a lot of fans are going to go on rants on twitter for no reason
 
adults who are suppose to who have lives, families, careers, etc dogging kids on twitter...wow what is the world coming too..

Alot of sad things in the world. Going after high school recruits is really low on the list of sad things.

Anyone who tweets at a recruit that isn't in the business of talking to them (like Pete) is a ******* loser. I don't care if they're talking **** or acting retarded and tweeting, "OMGZ welcome to teh you guyzm". It's the lamest thing ever.

So when they shock the world in a few days, act like an *** on this forum or the message board of your choice like any normal person would do.

Some Nole fan went all Riley Cooper on one of their players a few years back. Funny thing was, his twitter handle was his actual name. I think he may have even been a student.


Point being, everyone has ****** fans and twitter is like a magnet for them. Hopefully, recruits realize this. I'd probably rather have the ones who are smart enough to anyways so whatever.
 
Because they know our fan base is rampant with drooling retards that spend too much time on Twitter
 
They're still 16, 17 year old kids ever Quincy Wilson who I wont say a good thing about but I won't call him a ***** or nothing because im a 23 year old grown *** man I can't stoop that low to attacking kids
 
The problem is not all the fans tweeting at them are stupid *** adults. There are UM fans you realize that are teens as well that are part of the problem
 
UCompliance or someone over there tweeted me right around NSD last year warning me in general not to contact prospective recruits on behalf of the university. My response was, its on behalf of myself and the NCAA can't do 'ish about that, but I understand their concerns.

yea i remember that one, it was after an fsu loss and one of their fans was tweeting racial slurs at a player. that **** is just crazy to me.

i think its even creep when fans try to befriend commits to their school, it just has a groupie teenage girl feel to it. i don't understand how grown *** men with jobs and some with kids are following 17 yr. olds they don't know just because they play football. and then throw childish tantrums and insults at them when they choose a school you don't want. some of these people need counseling.
 
You don't need to worry about talkin smack to the Gators WR signings, they will feel stupid enough while Miami is passing for 400yds a game and Florida is passing for 175yds a game.
