TVD

Of course he's the guy. He knows how to bounce back from slow starts, plays with confidence. I like him a lot.

My brother (an fsu fan) texted me saying "Wow your QB is really good" a couple minutes later he texts me "wow this FSU guy can't throw at all"

ahahahaha

he them texted me a video of the 4th and 14, and was like " looks like you guys were playing with 8 guys on that play"
You should beat the **** out of your brother for being a fsu fan

The first quarter was an abomination by both sides of the ball. The first drive alone we gave them half a football field in penalties. Two personal fouls. 2!!!!

I don’t have the stomach to discuss what happened yesterday so I’m not going to just talk about the same things

To me yesterday was more proof that TVD is the guy

It’s impossible to write up a scenario that could have been worse for him

Bad reads. Missed throws. Both at the same time. We blinked and on the road against FSU the game was basically over

But things just don’t bother this kid

He didn’t let an epically horrifying first quarter snowball and he just kept letting it rip

So in some ways it was his worst game, but as far as the rest of his career goes, I think this may have been the most impressed I’ve been with him

I’m a huge Garcia fan but I don’t see this kid ever letting go of the job

I’m just looking for something here….thanks for listening
U the official QB whisperer now I'm taking your word on QBs as gospel. I'm going to u for my qb evals

No disrespect to any of our QBs we’ve had the last 20 or so years but he’s just better than they are

I was shocked remembering some people questioning his arm before I got a chance to see him. He let a few throws go and I’m like wtf were people talking about?

To your point. TVD showed us what we hoped Kaaya would be for us in year 3.

Now because of TVD, Kaaya is a after thought to casual fans imo.

I'm still in awe over that throw on 3rd and long 8 yards deep in the end zone at Pitt. Any throw there is usually a safe pass in the flat to get yourself some room to punt.

Yeah I think we’ve had some solid QBs. Morris, Kaaya etc

But TVD is like the perfect mashup of the mental toughness and the physical gifts. And he can run just enough to be dangerous

Can’t wait for next year

Yeah going back and rewatching was wild. Watching our games this year was conflicting. Trying to be indifferent to the BS but also watch TVD and some of the younger guys

So now the season is over and we have a new coach and admin it’s much easier to go back and be excited

A lot of people on this board put down TVD like he was a nobody and elevated Garcia like some type of QB king. Well the opposite has happened. If I was Garcia I would say here because he one hit away from being the starter. Then again I have been a staunch supporter of TVD since the day he arrived on campus and he can be very special. He should have been playing in the Alabama game. Either way, he has the chance to be the most prolific passer in UM history if he gets the right coaching. To the people before who questioned his arm I say take another look because he has a MISSLE.

So what’s the difference between you and the dudes who didn’t believe in TVD? It seems you are doing the same exact thing they did: which is counting one QB out without that QB ever having been given the opportunity to start and show what they have. Do you think Garcia is a nobody now? I don’t think most Canes fans feel that Garcia is a nobody because TVD has shown to be a good QB. If the circumstances were different and TVD got hurt during the Central Connecticut State game and was out for the year, who’s to say that Garcia wouldn’t have shown to be as good or better than TVD?

The difference between the two is opportunity. Garcia hasn’t had the chance to show what he has without the threat of competition like TVD has. We are lucky to have both and we should root for both.

This post could literally be the dudes who supported Garcia since he arrived on campus, gloating about how they were right about him, if TVD was the one who got hurt against CCS.

To add to this I would say people that watched them both and thought Garcia might be better…I mean that’s pretty exciting given TVD is a Heisman contender potentially

Really hope Jake sticks around because I’m definitely a fan
