Throwing into tight windows is a choice. It's also not the issue. He likes throwing into 1 v 1 man coverage. The problem is that teams are playing zone with 2 high safties where he struggles. We desperately need receivers who can create separation and space .
He’s throwing into a lot of super tight windows, especially down field.
So wait, The WRs get open for Emory, but not for TVD?I’m not saying he’s not. But this isn’t a Miami caliber WR Corp.
The two are separate issues
Teams have figured out he sucks agaisnt zone and now that’s all we will see is zoneWe desperately need receivers who can create separation and space .

He has to defend him. Mario cannot play Emory yet as the starter. TVD is the guy I just think he’s got the Yips or somethingSerious question.
What does TVD have on Mario, the Media and a bunch of you on here?
I’ve never seen anything like the defending of TVD like this at Miami.
This man stairs at X while in double coverage.. and still throws the ball.
He almost cost this game late.. with a dropped 3rd pic..
Am I in the matrix? Like wtf are yall watch???
A wildly hot or cold QB?Serious question.

On the first INT he was trying to throw deep to Restrepo, there were 3 players open. One of which was Restrepo, nut the ball wA grossly under thrown.
I mean 1000% there should be more tempo. He’s way better with tempo bc tempo is quick game but Dawson refuses to use itWe haven’t had an offensive line in a long time that provides pockets like these with all the time in the world and we have a QB that stares down his favorite receiver and throws pics to open defensive backs while ignoring his other open receivers.
Yes, for the “his reads are to one side of the field, all the receivers have choice routes and the other reads are decoys” dudes - he has plenty of time to check off his primary and look to other guys.
Maybe he just needs an offense we’re he can drop back 3 steps and fire to the predetermined receiver and hope for the best.
I disagree. Your analysis is anadodle. You're saying we need WR upgrades only because the QB isn't delivering the ball and/or play calling has changed. The same guys exploded on A&M. Emory threw more deep balls against Clemson than TVD has in the last 3 games. What does that tell you?Emory only averaged 4.5 yds a completion against Clemson and Young dropped a perfect throw into super tight coverage late in that game.
Saying we need to upgrade our WR group isn’t excuse making for TVD, he’s been horrible. It’s pointing out we lack game changing explosiveness at that position
^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^
Arroyo is not a good example because 9 would have jumped all over that throw. But Brashard and Fletch were both clearly wide open.
A fourth year QB should have mastered the check-down!He’s killing his confidence trying to do too much, thinking too much, and focusing on 7 too much. He’s 5/6 quick check downs from a good game. It’d open more in the zone too
George is hot and cold. Guy gives up on routes and rarely fights for the ball. Doesn’t excuse throwing into covered receiver but …I disagree
There are guys open
There are releases in the flat that he waits to go to
If he’d stop staring at Xs *** he would find Young and George more frequently imo
