Wtf are you talking about? TVD’s only good season was under Lashlee. Your boy Gattis is the one who killed him. And King was great here until he got hurt.

I will argue that Tyler's first 4 games of the 23 season with Dawson was the best offense Miami has had under Mario. I have dreamt of that run game, ever since. Who goes into a bye week with a Top 5 offense and for no major reason, completely changes their offense? That top offense disappeared and we know what happened with TVD. It was the start of A gap hysteria ever since. That run playbook never returned. The next season in 24 is when they brought in Carpenter. They had to help him in the Spring by tightening the splits. It's been tight splits ever since with coach talk. Tight splits, A gap mafia and the Warren Commission on those 4 missing games run game, since .

You're right it had nothing to do with the facts they didn't have film on him and he ran The same four please consistently with variables. Heaven forbid learning how to read a defense would have made sense for him. And if it was just gattis what's happened to him in all the places since? And when you talk about D eriq it was Mandy and lashley that threw him out as a sacrificial lamb. Doing right by your players would mean developing them and thinking about their careers and life after football. At the very least he's looking out for them with life after football. One of three isn't too shabby.

Giving someone a job at a p4 school after their playing career when they have zero experience is honorable, and tvd was trash without lashlee, king had a good year with him as well

So Idk how you came to this conclusion or how you can spin this into something negative lol its weird

Better than the historically great offense the next year?

The first 4 games were against ohio miami, texas a&m, bethune, and temple. The offense didn’t change, the level of competition got better and the qb got worse

You might argue that if you didn't see Cam, didn't think about how we beat up on 3 really poor opponents and an overrated ATM, or forgot how damned awesome Cam was from games 1-13 in 2024.
TVD had a moment or two where he looked great. He had many more moments where he looked like Kirby Freeman's successor. He couldn't read a zone and we paid the price, repeatedly. Gattis flat out sucked, there's no question about that, but TVD lost the confidence of the offense with dumb decisions and poor throws all on his own.

I think the reality is that he just wasn’t that good. Once DCs figured him out he became a turnover machine. He also played through some injuries as well.

That’s why I wish him well. It’s not his fault he was the best qb on our roster. Recruit better and kids like him don’t see the field. I don’t believe for a second he didn’t give his all.
