TVD is the problem

So many close plays:
Rooster tripped up at the 10
George tripped up at the 10
TVD over throwing K smith
TVD over throwing Redding
TVD missing multiple open guys only to force passes into coverage.
Missed Fg
Blocked FG with Rivers getting pushed back.
One of Jw0’s only bad looking plays gave up a TD
Stevenson with the muff
Texas A&M muff but recovered

One thing I don’t recall seeing: 37 at Hback. Would have liked to see Cooper at H Back with Thad getting 5-10 more attempts. Thad got one attempt with Texas Am getting a free run at him before he got the ball and he still fell forward.

Did we even try a wheel route with Rooster or B Smith out of the backfield? They played a ton of man with 1 deep giving up the outside. Without doing lots of work looking at the replay, I’m guessing our WRs couldn’t get outside.

Overall, TVD never got into a rhythm which comes down to Gattis getting him easy completions against a Texas A&M D that didn’t want to give up any easy plays and were willing to risk big plays.

My concern is that Gattis is the WR recruiter and our board has two smaller speed kids yet we haven’t landed the big kids like Inniis, Williams, ****ey… as cribby pointed out, we don’t have anyone to win the one on one. If that is true, then why aren’t we lining up Arroyo or Skinner out wide to throw jump balls? They have 4-6” on most kids.

All that has to do with him not working with his WRs which he blatantly said in the article.

Agreed but he could put a little more touch on the short crossers or outlets. He throws bullets that are a tougher catch.

Playing like this he is more likely to be a 6 round pick, last year he looked great and hardly ever hesitated on his throws also in big games when he was forced to run if we needed a first down he would go hard and try to get it ,this year he slides without even attempting to get the first down
