I hate to use him as an example but people were saying the same thing about Jordan Travis for the last 2 years and now look at him now... He's winning up and putting up good stats. It's really ridiculous for you to give up on a true freshman...

College football is filled with NUMEROUS examples going back decades.
 
Either TVD knows a new OC is coming who fits his game, or he has Stockholm Syndrome.

Why would he stay with a staff that wouldn’t let him throw in the red zone vs aTm, completely ruined him after his stellar 2021 performance, and then kept trotting him out there when he was injured so he could get injured again…and again?

No. I brought Jordan Travis onto this board out of high school and even then he was a better passer than Jacurri is now. Jordan‘s problem was that he was a baseball player that was new to football at the time. He was always a 3 year project and I even said it back then

You‘re comparing apples to oranges when it comes to players. Jacurri will never have a repeatable throwing motion because of how long he is. Because of that he’ll never be accurate enough of a QB.

Take the rose colored glasses off and actually think about it. If TVD was fine with learning a new offense that gave him his best shot to improve his draft stock then wouldn’t he just enter the portal? He would literally have some of the top offenses in college football that are PROVEN trying to land him. So maybe him staying shows he doesn’t want to learn another offense, maybe he’s fine with Gattis and wants to go into year 2 with X and new weapons, We honestly have no clue if TVD likes Gattis or not.

If TVD so called doesn’t want Gattis then why would he trust Mario to hire another OC if he didn’t like that last one when he could just hit the portal and go to a proven system?

I think he feared for his life. And rightly so. Between the OL who couldn’t t pick up blitzes and WR/TE not running the right routes…

I hope Mario is planning on reinforcing that OLine with some experience. Frances and Samson are great but older guys would really help.

Zion has a lot of ground to make up physically.

Jake must really like the new OC candidates because I see no need for him to come back. Doesn’t really make sense from a football perspective, he’ll ride the bench again.

He does like UM though, so can’t hate him for sticking around and competing.
 
I give TVD props if he comes back. If I’m him, I’m transferring to Tennessee, beating Milton out, and becoming a first round pick

Agree, I think if he’s fine learning a new offense he would just hit the portal and get to hand pick one of the top offenses in football. If he doesn’t believe in Gattis then why would he trust Mario to hire another OC?
