TVD Is Coming Back

I don’t want Garcia to leave and he got a rough go at it

But he also didn’t WIN the job and he could have had he played significantly better. Scheme aside, decision making, pocket awareness, read recognition, and touch on the ball all looked far below what we expected of a a top 50 prospect coming in and his 2nd year on the squad

Honestly his injury probably hurt his draft stock enough. I’m sure it wasn’t the prospect of this offense that has him coming back but amazing news

While that is partly true...I'm pretty sure this season had A LOT more to do with any draft stock he had. Besides, he's most like is going to make more money playing college ball than pro ball right now.

It doesn't matter. After his meeting with Gattis and Ponce, he threw for 498 and 351 in consecutive weeks prior to his injury.

If not injured, TVD likely would have thrown for over 300 yards in 8 consecutive games in the Gattis offense.

The one downside to replacing Gattis is everyone has to learn a new playbook. Not a reason to keep Gattis, but it's just one more thing making it harder for the offense.

I'm a Philadelphia Eagles fan. When they drafted Jalen Hurts, I didn't even think he was an NFL caliber QB. In watching their game a few weeks ago, an announcer said this is the 1st year where Jalen Hurts has the same OC for more than 1 year since high school. Hurts said he's extremely comfortable with the offense in year 2 of his current OC. He's now playing as well as any top QB in the league.

Constantly changing OC's affects development and continuity. A new OC would be the 4th in TVD's career at UM.
There's some truth to that, but Gattis' playbook was complicated by all accounts. Also, it was dogsiht.

They were writing their normal bs like they did with the Manny drama before Mario then the Mario drama the Sunday before he signed . Total garbage. I have a poster that’s been pm’ing me his articles the last couple years and this guy is on one with his fiction writing
I’ve never stopped to read one of his articles after some of the headlines I’ve seen. Seems like a waste of everybody’s time

I just dont get why it hasn't been done yet
If Gattis is let go, the number one reason it hasn't happened is that his contract buyout decreases December 1st. Today.

Secondly, there may be an amicable departure. If Gattis lands a new job, there would be no contract buyout.

It would be better for both parties if Gattis finds a new gig without being fired. They might be giving him time to find a new job.

TVD could have walked into 97% of CFB locker rooms next year and started. He would have been highly sought after.

First time in a long time our best player on defense (Kam) and offense (TVD) are going to be non transfers who are exceptional leaders and competitors. Huge huge huge for culture building

A lot of places better than Miami. I realize it was a frustrating year for us as fans but be rational.

These people never cease to amaze me with their inability to see anything literally more than 3 inches in front of their faces.

******* Jordan Travis was a Top 15 QB this season. You think coaches of good programs wouldn't be able to mold TVD into a good player? Dude was **** near sensational in 2021, he's talented as ****, a few mediocre games under a lame duck staff means he's incapable of playing football? These people are so weird.

I still get this feeling Jake isn't going anywhere. He seems to really live Miami. I don't have sauces, just a hunch 🤷‍♂️

I think that may have been true prior to the games since TVD got hurt. But at this point, between TVD coming back, Jacurri getting ACTUAL playing time (not just packages), and the new recruits/coaches...

PLUS the terrible game performances...

I think Garcia goes elsewhere.

Was an honest question, what would his options have been? actually trying to rationalize it. Enter portal after the year that was had, would he be a risky take, a no brainer, what? Again, just curious. For the record I like TVD but have only witnessed 8 games where he was slinging.
