TVD - "He Wants to see Miami be Great Again"

Ehh see it & believe it mode for the first time in my life. I think 6-7 win team until proven otherwise. Talent not there yet. 2 new coordinators yet again. Probably will be rough yr.
Maybe but TVD is 2 wins on his own. The guy from 2 years ago was money. I know he doesn’t have Rambo and Hartley, but I would argue that we are better at every other offensive position; OL, TE and RB. So if TVD is what we think he is, and stays healthy, I think we will surprise our fans.

I don't think cam harris and will Mallory get enough respect. Not saying they were great but think they would both start now.

Everyone has a different opinion on a good leader. There are many variables that play a role in that. Not sure TVD has that kind of respect or connection with teammates you’re alluding to.
Sorry still hung up on this. So you're saying his teammates don't have a lot of respect for or connection with the starting QB? What's the cause of this? Is he arrogant? Lazy? Just introverted? Weird personality?

I don't want to make a big deal if it's not.

Last year it was hard not to notice how poor his body language was. A lot definitely was warranted since he had virtually no help at all but there was a stark contrast to his overall energy vs Jacurri.

I'd have bad body language too if I went from playing in a fun offense and getting 1st round draft buzz to playing in a caveman-inspired buttcheeks offense.

At some point in 2022 someone here noted how TVD and Restrepo alienate their teammates. May have been @Cribby but I apologize if it was not, or if I'm misrepresenting what was said and by whom.

There isn't a puncher's chance on earth Brown beats out TVD this season.

Well sir, I beg to differ. If the WR situation stays the same, we won't be able to pass the ball. Cristobal will go back to what he knows best, clock eating, ball control offense. Brown's running ability is a much better fit for that offense. So if we're 4 games into the season and TVD isnt able to push the ball down field, switching to Brown is Cristobals best chance to avoid a 2nd straight sub .500 season.

Not me. I don’t go there with the players by name. I speak in generalities , no individual stuff. But if I did do that the last five years I could’ve written a soap opera lol.

People leak stuff like that for a reason , regardless if it’s true.

It’s not a big deal. I think he does have respect but not sure if they see him as their leader as the previous poster suggested a “leader” needs. Perhaps, they do. I prefer my QB’s to be running the show, motivating and keeping everyone in check when things are not going well. Didn’t see that last year at all. Other players are taking initiative in that role but IMO it should come from him first.

While we're certainly not there at WR, not close, but we will at least be "better" in 2023 than in 2022 by way of continued development, the HS additions, and god-willing another 1-2 portal adds IMO. Not to mention some addition by subtraction in the room, and the scheme and play-calling will be more WR-friendly than that abomination Gattis ran last year.

Honesty I feel ok that we will be "better" in 2023 than 2022 at every position group, except CB. CB scares the **** out of me. TE is one to watch as well, there is a lot of talent but a lot of unknown too, so that is closer to a coin flip, even though I am not one that was super-high on Mallory. Now "better than 2022" is a very low bar, we were 5-7 last year, so I'm not overly excited quite yet. We will have a better idea in August.
