Official TVD comments on Hard Rock

What does being a student or Alum have to do with being a UM football fan? I've been going to games since 1989, I'm a season ticket holder and drive 270 miles each way for games. Headed down Saturday to see if TVD can actually throw a TD pass agains the mighty Middle Tennessee State team. If it weren't for the FANS that aren't UM alums that stadium WOULD be totally empty. Students and Alums don't fill 30% of the seats.

My man. Do you know what recruiting is?

It is selling the future.

I don’t care how things have been. Recruiting is about selling how they will be. And then turning that sales pitch into reality.

Change is the only constant in life. Sure, past performance is relevant to future results… but things can always change.

Right now, Mario is trying to sell change.

Do you think it’s helpful to have the team’s highest profile player and starting qb DEFECATE all over a big part of the future that Mario is selling?

And - yeah - Miami fans can by $#!++y… but anyone who works in the Hecht and is resigned to playing in front of an empty stadium should be fired immediately.

Don’t like the current reality? Work until you change it.

That is Mario’s mantra - and I believe he actually has a chance.

I know that if Miami got back the 80’s level of dominance and scheduling mantra (anyone, anywhere, anytime), Hard Rock would be a **** fun place to spend a Saturday for most home games.
Listen I totally get what you're saying.

The only point I was trying to make is what he said was facts, even though fans didn't agree with him saying it.

You say recruiting is selling the future and I agree. But you don't think these nuts on here and all over social media saying the Gattis sucks and that TVD is overrated after only 3 games doesn't affect recruiting?

Our own fans are spreading that nonsense but now they want to be mad at TVD about his opinion.

Cmon man

The Orange Bowl was run down, had ****** parking/traffic and lousy attendance.
Hard Rock Stadium is freshly remodeled, has great parking/traffic and has lousy attendance.

Maybe attendance is just going to be lousy except for a few big games.
Did he do his homework. He knew that when he signed to become a hurricane.

LOL. Nobody is gifting the university a half billion dollar stadium. Look, I think what Ruiz is doing with NIL is great and all but I just don't believe for a minute that he is going to build a stadium and hand the deed over to the university.
**** no. hes a business man. his job is to make money. hs gonna make money off this stadium as the owner. its a development RE play.

last year - WE LOVE YOU TVD.

3 games in - **** YOU TVD.

this fanbase is like every other one except we dont show up lol.
alumni seating in the heat. Season tickets as I said before. Like I mentioned before regarding TVD is for his comments and his poor play. I still support him as he is a Cane. Just bonehead comment. This is our qb and face of the franchise?

bc you were the last relevant response "bro". de pinga. if you all wanna prove tvd wrong, get the city to show up. we know that wont happen so TVD is correct and will be proven so
Or he can keep doing what he’s doing and end up benched.

In a “12000” person crowd…the boos will be much more prominent.

I would like to see a smaller stadium built close enough to Miami’s economically disadvantaged communities in and around Dade, so that those folks have a better opportunity to go to games at any time. Whatever tickets left unsold, will go to those folks who may not ordinarily be able to afford it, and at a significant discount. Some of the kids growing up there, the highlight of their young life may be memories of going to a Canes game with friends, dreaming about being good enough to one day play there. Like the LA Coliseum, which is right in the middle of that kind of area.

Hardrock is in the middle of nowhere. What valuable community ties can be established, where you may be able to create a dedicated fan base who may not have a lot of options to do much else?
When's the last time you went to Hardrock?
