Official TVD comments on Hard Rock

Ruiz has the pulse of UM student athletes and Van Dyke only reiterated it. Hard Rock is fine but we're one of a handful of schools that play at a professional stadium and it isn't helping. Saturday will only be another notch in the belt of John Ruiz when there's 12k fans at Sun Lifeless.

miami is an event town. you literally made my point. miami only shows up for big games bc its an event. why do you think FSU brings out every canes fan but they all gone every other week. I was also there when it was half empty against GT that same season lol. were literally not a true college environment.

I have season tickets, went to he school, and im here every game. Ive had my tickets since I graduated. where you at every week? also, when everyones favorite point is the literally the biggest home game we've had since 2013 (UF v UM) and in the past 20 years, you kinda make TVDs point too.
 
ill remember this thread when I see posts from all you guys saying how UM takes care of you like family and all that bull****. yeah were just like everyone else on every other forum that trashes our own players.

im also an alum. we didnt bleed ****. we didnt sacrifice limbs for the School. we handed a check over every semester. also, im fine w him insulting the fanbase bc hes not wrong. the fanbase sucks. its fair-weather. it always has been.

As a player getting paid good money to positively represent the University of Miami I find his comments repulsive. If I were Mario I’d tell him to apologize publicly of we’ll see if Garcia is a smarter and better ambassador for the program.

It’s a well deserved reputation. The only jerks I had to deal with at the Texas A&M game were other Miami fans.

As far as TVD saying something stupid that can be mischaracterized and used negatively against Miami, well, in reality he’s still a relatively stupid college sophomore just like most of us were, and hopefully will learn to keep his mouth shut. I’m surprised Mario hasn’t put a moratorium on player interviews and social media unless approved by the football department.
 
If TVD was 3-0 right now with 1,200 yds passing and 11 TD's, everyone would agree with him and applaud him. Unfortunately our boy is sitting on 671 yds passing, 3 TD's and a pick. I am on the fence about his comments.

eh thats not a way to draw more fan interest esp when you can buy jerseys w players names on it. you want the city to get to know these kids (speaking about interviews not about this comment)

fwiw, I hate our own fans more than other schools fans.
