Sure he didn't have Mario and Mirabal. But he could have also called something that wasn't inside zone.

Lashlees offense was very friendly for QBs and receivers. It borrowed concepts from Air Raid and up tempo offenses where we see teams like Hawaii and Washington State put up godly numbers with 2 star talent. Lashlee was better at reading a defense (either in film or during game) and attacking.

I think Gattis' will get better and not be stubborn. Do I think he will ever have a passing offense better than Lashlee and be worth what we're paying him? **** no.

Regardless there is blame for everyone. OC, HC, WR, and QB. But Gattis' has to understand what's not working for his players and change it. He can't pull an Enos or we're ****ed.

I’ve put the blame on everyone but if you don’t blame just the kids the cult gets rustled.

you'd think wed learn after 20 years of poor coaching. we do it every time. its the kids. its always the kids and yes there is some blame for the kids but its not all the kids. it is also the coaching. it can be both. again, if a class fails an exam doing the same things wrong every time, its not on the student solely anymore. its on their teacher. if we had 1 guy not blocking or not running the right routes, thats a diff story. when they're all doing the same **** wrong, there is an issue beyond just the kids. also, this isnt even about him as an OC right now just as a WR coach.

You see this all the time. Coach says we need to implement a system to play to our strengths and gave them the best chance to succeed. Only to turn around a try to pound that square peg into that round hole. Then continue to harp on a lack of execution. Adapt or die.

lashlee isnt perfect but he did do some things well. same w gattis. his run concepts are much better esp w this OL coach and HC. lashlees pass concepts were a good fit for the this Current roster that goes out and plays on Saturdays not a fictional HS roster that may never come. its not to say gattis can't succeed eventually in the passing game. from what we've seen from spring, fall, and now three games, his scheme isnt working for the players. hes gotta adjust to help them out. its what coaches are supposed to do.

Guys relax. Maybe he should have omitted that part but he was a 2020 recruit. Means he visited in 2019 during our horrific penos season when there dam sure wasn’t anyone in the stands

It’s a coping mechanism for the rowdy bunch we have here. There’s no replacement for the OC. Yet we theoretically have replacements for the kids. So there’s options there. No options at OC. And we have seen coaches refuse to change. So we hope and pray it’s a player problem and ignore the other possibilities. Textbook CIS

gattis has time to improve. he can change. I think thats what we all want to see is him adjust his scheme to his roster now. we dont need to blow half the year to confirm what now players are saying out loud.
