I stole Donna’s drink one time. Safe to say I wasn’t allowed back after that.
BINGOThe fact that he should know better about what and what not to say publicly is all that really matters here.
Intent and everything else we're debating here is just noise and not relevant to the present.
Just shows that we probably overestimated his mental maturity or underestimated his aloofness slightly and that the kid has work to do on multiple fronts of his development.
Absolutely not a huge deal but definitely a sign.
not a single lie told. We cant even fill the student section anymore (we used to spill over to the upper deck at hard rock when I went to school there)... I got my season tickets, and I am sure that if he keeps winning, the seats will be filled. Miami is a front running town... it is what it is.Well this is going to go over well.
He tells no lies though.

Miami Hurricanes QB Tyler Van Dyke Accidentally Roasts His Own Program
The Miami Hurricanes dropped in the rankings this week to #25 in both the AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll. This came after a 17-9 loss to the Texas A&M inbrobible.com
This is the greatest counterpoint to the “let’s built a near campus stadium” crowd. Those NE flunkies don’t walk to the arena next to their dorms but will show up for a football game in Tropical Park?UM hoops built an on campus stadium and their attendance is as lousy as ever unless they're a top 25 team AND playing a big name team.
Less than optimal maturity/cognizance of the ramifications of your words having the power to at minimum create needless blowback and distraction.A sign of what, exactly.
I'm surprised it wasn't full of roofies and meant for Katie Meier. You may have prevented an assault....unless it incapacitated YOU and you woke up tied to a bed with Fake James in his gimp costume and Mrs. Fake James in full leather staring down at you.I stole Donna’s drink one time. Safe to say I wasn’t allowed back after that.
Good infoLol he did lie for our sake! He said its a 25 minute drive and that is definitely impossible on gamedays lol
Takes longer than that. The other self-own is what it says in the rest of the article about his play home versus away:
"How does Tyler Van Dyke actually play at Home vs on the Road?
ESPN has a pretty good split breakdown of Miami Hurricanes QB Tyler Van Dyke’s performance at home versus on the road. In the 2021 season, Tyler’s rating was significantly better at home vs away, 189.3 vs. 137.6.
His completing percentage at home was 64.5 compared to 60.7 on the road. Van Dyke threw for 14 touchdowns and zero interceptions at the Hard Rock Stadium and 11 touchdowns + 6 INTs on the road. 3 of Miami’s 4 losses in
Agree. The Press even twisted his words reference making how he loves making the opponents crowd silent before the A&M game. Adds some comedy to the site but that’s about it IMOlol who cares about this stuff. its not even really what he said or meant.
That’s why a stadium on or near campus will have zero impact on attendance. I swear even our own fans know nothing about the actual university. They think there are 50k students with no way to get to the gamesFoolish talk... even if every enrolled student attended every game, that would be a total 12K per game.... Miami always drew from local 3 county population.... not students.
We don't have attendance because of the bumbling administration and the cheapo cr@p they put on the field for the last 2 decades...
Win and HR will be rocking
If Dorsey lived in this era, yes, 100%. There's a clip on twitter right now of him saying yesterday "I hope I'm not a psychopath". Dorsey shouldn't be held accountable for anyone cutting up and splicing together his words, neither should TVD.Less than optimal maturity/cognizance of the ramifications of your words having the power to at minimum create needless blowback and distraction.
Like I said, not a big deal but could you picture Dorsey ever slipping like this at any point in his career with comments to the public/media?
It's just about knowing when less is more and when the benefits of speaking honestly or off the cuff is worth it and when it's better to hold back a little or think more before you speak.
we also continued the tradition of killing our own players that we adoredIf Dorsey lived in this era, yes, 100%. The article and the video are disingenuous, as TVD said, "I love playing away" because "I love silencing the crowd" which was conflated with a separate quote saying (correctly) Miami isn't a college town.
If he was coming off a 300 yard, 3 TD game then no one would be talking about this. It's weird that UM fans are going "aw man you done stepped in it now young buck" when someone else literally edited his words together to mean something he didn't actually say. What the heck is going on?
HR will never sellout all season long. Bet that.Foolish talk... even if every enrolled student attended every game, that would be a total 12K per game.... Miami always drew from local 3 county population.... not students.
